So the goat continues to hang on to his "no cliffhanger" claims by the tips of his pointy cloven hooves...mighty precarious position I'd say! All hail King CJ! We prostrate ourselves before thy magnificent presence...or presents, if we think of his gift of chapters delivered! I thought Trev was going to call his uncle Greg when they got to the K'burra...either I'm wrong or he got distracted again by Shane's speedo clad bum that was in front of him after the swim. I guess I would have been distracted too. Quite a graphic description of shark jaw use. Maybe B'stoke will step on a ray and get tail whipped/spiked and drop all of is gear in front of the four and lose his element of surprise?

I thought that maybe Bridget would have Billy turn on her as he was getting a bit worried about his role of late...I guess he warn't (spelling on purpose) smart enough to take chances on his own. I wonder what B'stoke thinks he is going to do from the air? Perhaps drop an air mail package on our kids or the K'burra? Other than knowing his general intent, can't figure out what he is accomplishing with this latest flight. Maybe we will get lucky (?) and have his fuel fouled by condensation despite his checking???

Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust" running through my head due to the end of the chapter. But have we really seen the last of dear Carl? Thanks Mark!

Nice to see a brief return to the "youngsters"! I have to admit I'd forgotten about Tony being at Stanford and wasn't expecting the surprise interaction with Will It is always fun to see the 3-generation dynamic in action and the minor storm that interaction creates! Thankfully Brad relented from involving Ryan's parents,keeping the Escorial safe-harbor open for him... Thanks Mark for the brief mix-in of the other characters as the main story in this chapter...

Mark, I wonder what Carl will do having been faced again. Is he smart enough to pull off some additional mischief and be effective at it? Whatever he does, I'm sure Matt will be ready for it, not to mention Wade... I love how you worked that scene out with Matt & Wade. The emotional intensity was just right...

Yes, the bull sharks jaw and teeth...I imagine B'stoke has plans to use it to inflict wounds to the bodies of his victims to make their deaths seem a tragic accident. Not quite sure how he will accomplish that... I sure as heck hope that Bridget meets her end though I must confess that part of me wants Gonzales to exact justice on Henry's behalf. But can he do it without losing his soul? Perhaps his exposing Bridget will be enough to cause Sanchez to do the deed in some splashy spectacularly gruesome end??? But will that also result in him pulling the contract on Trevor and friends? Would Sanchez bite at the opportunity to take out Bridget for her failure while recognizing Trevor& co. never should have been a target? Perhaps being ruthless in dealing with failure while sparing them can make him seem more noble - after all we know Sanchez has an ego of large size...

I really thought for a minute like Wade did, that Matt had really f'd up. Great twist Mark! Can it really be that at last, Matt understands what Carl has been doing? It will be interesting to see how Matt behaves with Carl the next time that they meet...will Carl whip out the big one trying to salvage his game and reel Matt back in? Will we see JJ finally start to mature a bit and really start to grow into a new person? Nice to see Will defend JJ - I guess blood really does matter, no matter how dysfunctional a relationship might be. Thanks again for another great chapter Mark!

So I'm not crazy, it was here on Ga, but was it CJ's? If not who wrote it and why is it gone - sniff? I was going to re-read it...

As I started to read of our favorite "kids" (very punny, I know) back in the restaurant I began to have a distinct fear that Trevor would somehow be separated from the other three by B'stoke and thereby come close to losing his head...shudder! Of course we would have ended the story chapter with B'stoke and Trevor walking off into the distance and next week...courtesy of our favorite cliff hangin' goat! One way or another this has been a great story ride and I hate to see it coming to a conclusion, but all good things must come to an end, or so I've heard. I 2nd the motion that this story become a published work - I would buy it! That being said CJ, I trust you have another story that you will start soon after this story ends? You wouldn't leave your faithful readers without their weekly dosage of CJ would you??? One last thing CJ...did you ever have a story posted here that involved a band that lost their lead singer, only to having an impoverished starving roadie take his place when he was overheard singing during a sound check in what he thought was an empty theater? I swear there was a story here on GA and that it was yours...if I'm wrong, does the short description ring a bell and can you tell me who wrote it and where it is? Thanks...

Great chapter Mark - Carl gets his, Matt mans-up to his mistake, Gathan show his stuff and gets recognized...even by Matt. And we have so much more still to come...

I agree with Daddydavek - another great chapter and I'm sure we haven't heard the last from Wade's mom. We've only seen "shots across the bow" - oops wrong story for that phrase! LOL

Well I guess Wade's new attorney may be more than just an attorney to him. Is that ethical? ha! And Mommy Dearest will be most displeased to have Wade reveal that she's been found out... This story line has so much going on that I wish Mark was posting new chapters at his old rate...how you make us suffer Mark! :-)

Did the goat factor in the international date line when trying to synchronize Christmases? I've seen others question the goat's counting ability, though he did mention AZ time zone...hmnn... Thanks for the Christmas present CJ! And yes, CJ for Cliffhanger King!

This chapter was quieter than I expected but still added slightly to the tension. Jeanine is in for a real awakening when she meets Ma Danfield - should be an exciting meeting. Thanks Mark for extra Crstmas chapter!

I wonder how long it will be before Carl tries to use what he thinks he knows against Wade. He sure will pull down a lot of "stuff" around him if he tries it...reminds me of a line from one of the Dirty Harry Movies: "A man's got to know his limitations" Like Wade, I can't even imagine what was was thinking, or thinking with, to be giving up anything about Wade. Another super chapter - they are all good, but these last two...make that three at least since, since I'm counting in advance that the next one will be loaded as well!

I thought for a bit that Jamie wouldn't break his beaten down behavior. Amazing what one tiny win can do to turn the tide. I'm happy you let him start to find his way back... Thank you Libby!

WOW - what an emotional ride! Very powerful chapter...I wonder when if ever Matt will pull his head out? Interesting as well to bring the hockey team dynamic into the mix... A veritable maelstrom to emotions in this story arc...if we didn't already figure it out, we sure got the message that a bumpy ride is ahead for everyone - fasten your seatbelts! Thanks Mark!
