Ark II is now on the new world and life begins for them.

Continuation of the adventures Joy City's heroes get into. This is a collaboration between me and jojkk, an artist on deviantart.

Two bored café patrons find their lives upended when recruited by Barnaby, a mysterious time-traveling capybara. Now "accidental apprentices," Leo and Sam must patch dangerous fractures in history, only to realize their recruitment was no accident—and their true mission has only just begun.

This one comes from Prompt #71.

Write a short story featuring only one character. No secondary characters at all. You might drop them in the woods and see how they fare, or come up with your own idea, but only one character is allowed.

Fraser Vogel knew it was dangerous to parachute in high winds. He wasn’t left with too many options in his Cessna 182 Skylane when its yoke seized and the engine failed.

Jump or crash? Pretty easy choice.

Aboard a storm-tossed vessel, scholars Christian and Julian pivot from deciphering a ledger left by Barnaby—a time-traveling capybara who accidentally visited their era—to test an advanced gift he left behind: a collection of protective sheaths. In their lantern-lit cabin, a clinical experiment into friction and viscosity rapidly escalates into a vigorous study of mechanical boundaries

Gabriel Foster has a problem; he's a high-priced assassin known only as Robert. Senator Elias Hutchinson got in the way of a broker named Mehmet, who hired Robert to eliminate him. When Robert turns down the assignment, a mysterious man begins stalking him. As he races to stop this unknown shooter, he meets Sean, lead singer of Mysterious Neon, a world-famous boy band. Now he has to elude the Yakuza and a persistent Homeland Agent while juggling his feelings for Sean. Everything comes to a head at Hershey Park as he races to stop his replacement before it's too late.

When a time-traveling capybara named Barnaby accidentally crash-lands onto an 18th-century sailing ship, his bizarre cargo of futuristic textbooks and modern contraceptives sparks a passionate romantic awakening between two young, brilliant shipmates.

Some people have their lives together.

Other people spend twenty minutes trying to get their lives together when all they really want is to close a document without having to argue with their computer, themselves, and several imaginary witnesses.

And then there are some documents that simply don't want to be written. They fight back like an old boyfriend you forgot you left in the closet. So the choice is yours to decide with who you want to sleep.

Prompt #265

Write a story that begins with a phone call at three in the morning.

Trevor insisted the house phone be on his side of the bed. There was one problem with that; Trevor was nearly impossible to wake up. One night, the phone rings at three AM. Julius has a hard time waking Trevor, but finally succeeds. Trevor finally answers the phone on the ninth ring. The phone call starts something they never could have expected.

Daniel TwoCrow is on a father/boys bonding campout with his three sons. He tells them the story of the first encounter their ancestor, Jonathan Laughing Thunder TwoCrow had with the tickle monsters of good and evil.

The character Yosemite Sam isn't the Looney Toons character. Sam belongs to Mars Velvet, an artist on deviantart.

The Blue Tickle Monster belongs to The Blue Tickle Monster an artist on deviantart.

The rest of the characters belong to me.
