Stories

A short story based upon LOTR: The 4th Age - The Age of Man.

The Age of Men or The Dominion of Men, marked the transition of Middle-earth from an age of myth and legend into a time dominated by mortal men. It began after the downfall of Sauron and the destruction of the One Ring in T.A. 3019, as chronicled in The Red Book of Westmarch.

This was an entry to a competition, the story no longer exists on the original site where it was posted. It is complete in five chapters, at least as far as the tale goes, but it does not tell the whole story.

In a world where everything is not as it seems, a hotshot young police officer has been posted to an inner city station, just prior to the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Was his appointment a political one, with his superiors knowing more about his past than even he cares to remember? Or is that past about to catch up with him? What comes next? Only time will tell!

As he falls for the seductive yet elusive Pax, Nate is drawn into a mysterious world full of secrets, danger, and questions he never imagined.

Can his heart survive the temptations and perils that come with Pax’s world? Or will the darkness surrounding Pax prove too dangerous for even love to conquer?

Donovan Stevens has spent his life mastering distance- between himself and the dead, between himself and the living, but an overlooked detail throws him into a shadowed world of anonymous digital holes entangling him in a connection that blurs the line between professional detachment and personal desire.

Warning: Although the whole plot, jokes, scenes and thoughts are mine, I used a lot of help from AI. I might go through the whole story and rewrite it myself for now my apologies.
