By RichEisbrouch, in Fiction. 03/29/2019 (Updated: 05/31/2020)

This is a collection of my short fiction.

It's mostly lightweight and meant to be amusing. Not the stuff of thought-provoking, great literature or college classes. And, often, guys misplace their clothes.

This collection parallels that of my short non-fiction on this site -- Collections.

    Enjoy.

Through all this human conflict young Sergius von Tarlenheim seeks to make a career at the Ruritanian court, where he finds unexpected friends and mysterious enemies. But unknown to him greater conflicts by far are beginning in the World Beyond, where notice is being taken of the changing nature of humankind and rival factions are forming in response.

  13. Post-Humorously

    By RichEisbrouch, in Non-Fiction. 07/16/2018 (Updated: 05/15/2020)

Writers make mistakes, especially when writing quickly. Students make mistakes, even when writing slowly. Students writing quickly often make lots of mistakes, and they get unintentionally funny. Here are some of them.

In Germany, it appears there's a whole cult that collects these. In America, we largely have the popular British book Eats Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss. This collection follows both of those.

A friendly caution: A little of these goes a long way, so don't try to read them all at once. They get less funny. Very less funny. Far less funny. Oh so less funny. You were warned.

  15. The Stolen Dream

By Geron Kees, in Fiction. 05/10/2020 (Updated: 05/10/2020)

Friggy and Jewl were street kids in a world that had been changed by momentous events. They survived by simply taking what they could get, working if work presented itself, and choosing other means if needed. If that sometimes meant a little basic thievery, well, that was a part of the world they lived in. It was a big city, and small crimes were tough to solve.

Until one day when they picked up something unexpected, something unique. And in so doing, set off a pursuit that would ultimately redefine their very existence.

A long short story, presented complete.
