Summary: Ryan Smith is away at college, experiencing life on his own for the first time. He meets Brye Masterson, his roommate and new found friend, who believes in living everyday to the fullest and having a good time… even if it means risking expulsion while doing so. The two become friends and find that they have more in common than anyone would have thought. But what trouble will come from the new found friendship?

One night a boy saves him, a different boy, who is traveling with the circus that has visited Alec’s town. It is a story about questions and answers: “Is it right to be happy when others around you are not?” and the path to deal with the world’s pain.
