This is book two in the series, 'The Life and Times of Avery Noonan.' It will focus on Avery Junior, although the rest of the family will make appearances.

To refresh your memories, Avery Junior was born in Philadelphia, PA in December of 2030, shortly thereafter acquiring a blue aura. That indicated to his father he would die of a disease of some sort. That fact would play a key role in Junior's life.

This is my first attempt at writing a story that is no gay or straight. There are people in it that are both. It is set in the future, but once you begin to read it what year it is won't matter.

Killian Kendall is used to being overlooked, even at home. That's about to change with the arrival of a new kid at school. When the boy is killed in a brutal attack, and Killian is injured in the process, he begins to questions everything. With the help of the murdered boy's father and his friends, Killian starts his own investigation, but his search turns up hatred in small town America.

I was young and still naive. I had just been dumped by my first love. It was Christmas. There were good friends, a mountain chalet, a spectacular Christmas tree, a roaring fire, a view for a hundred miles, snow falling, carols playing, and I was miserable. Until a friend of my friends stopped by. Until he changed my life.

This is a continuation of my previous story, 'On My Deathbed.' In that story, Red says "I hope I’m wrong about there being nothing else. I’m a determined old bastard, so if I can let you all know there’s something else, I’ll damn well try", and "I think this is it for me. I’ll be back if I ca..." The incomplete word being can, obviously. You probably don't need to read that first to enjoy this one, but it's short, only 1,164 words.

Avery Noonan is a man with a unique ability. He sees people’s auras. He not only sees them, but he sees them in different colors. As he ages, he discovers the colors each take on their own meaning. He continues to learn more and more about this ability as his life progresses.
