This is the third and final part of the Confounded Trilogy, portraying a May - December story with familiar characters.

You would be wise to (re)read the previous parts of this trilogy, to get reacquainted with the characters; some you will know, some are new. Some references will hark back to previous writings, and will make more sense. This story is told from perspectives, so called Points of View (POV).

When Cory is (mistakenly) diagnosed with cancer his last wish is for his two best friends to end their three year feud and apologize. So Skyler convinces Daniel to pretend they're okay and dating. Things get complicated.

In his whole life, he's never gotten into a fight. Now he has to kill monsters, demons, and creatures that can bring on insanity with a look. This was so going to put a damper on his social life.

Liam is tired of feeling like he's a second choice, but walking away is never easy.
