Our observations are made from many different perspectives. Sometime we are looking forward, sometimes we are looking back, and sometimes we are standing still. Life can be filled with many loves, and loss can take many forms. So can loyalty.

Man's future isn't all rosy dreams...there are bumps along the way due to human nature and environmental disaster.

This is the story of two high-schoolers in the mid-70s growing closer and learning about life and love in rural Ohio. All songs and key phrases are linked to a video.

Growing up happens differently for everyone. Finding yourself takes time, and for some of us it's not an easy process. Sometimes it can happen fast, all too fast. Sometimes we let parts of ourselves stray behind. Sometimes things must get worse before they can get better. Sometimes much, much worse. But these are the things that define us. That much, at least, St. John Allerdyce knows. But it's one thing to know something and another to live through it.

Boone and Coy have built a damn good life in Larkspur, and feel on top of the world at being able to share such blessings with each other. The Old West has its challenges for men made like them, but everything is falling into place on their little piece of the frontier... until an unexpected visitor shows up out of the blue. Suddenly, their world is turned upside down as they struggle to help the troubled man.

Charlie and his friends are off to help Horace on a ghost-hunting expedition, just in time for Halloween!

Being gay has always had its pitfalls, but nothing could have prepared us for the devastation of the last two decades of the twentieth century. Michael is very sick, but there is one more thing he feels the need to do as he lays in bed waging the biggest fight of his life. As an activist, he still wants to be of some use, no matter how little. It's not his nature to give up until he has to. This is a story about PRIDE, and what it represents to our community. Pride month means many things to many people. For some it is a parade and a chance to celebrate, but for others, it holds different connotations.

I occasionally try my hand at writing haiku. I'm not claiming that any of it is really all that good. And some haiku purists might even claim that I don't always follow the rules of haiku correctly. Indeed some of my attempts could be more correctly classified as senryu, rather than haiku.

Be all that as it may, I shall add my individual attempts over the next while. Some have been written many years ago. Others will be more recent.

As the occasional offering may be somewhat dark in nature, I shall give the collection a rating of Mature. I will give individual chapter warnings where necessary

Life in the Old West was harsh. The work was hard, but the men were harder, and death.... well... it came easy. Boone had no one until he met Coy, a handsome cowboy with a good heart. Their friendship was quickly formed, and meant everything to him, but after five years of being at each other's side, it was time to move on. Coy didn't need him anymore, and Boone wanted someone made like he was. Finally accepting that was never going to be Coy, and tired of being rootless, he sets out to find a home... land that was his, and a place he could belong. Coy? Left on his own, what path will he take?
