His rescuer isn't a park ranger, but Sam — a seven-foot-tall Sasquatch with a heart of gold and the culinary skills of a cement mixer. Trapped in a cozy den, Rowan's only companion is a gentle giant who believes a proper conversation sounds like a primetime news broadcast. As he stages a hostile takeover of the kitchen, Rowan discovers that the most authentic ingredient he's ever found might just be a cryptid who is more man than any he left behind.

Colin Creevey died at the Battle of Hogwarts on May 2nd 1997.

This short story chronicles his afterlife and opens the perspective of a character on the periphery that is seldom used in HP fanfiction. It's sad and somewhat tear-inducing if you're familiar with the novels.

Also, I have added a final scene at the end, I am thinking of giving this character a full story. It depends on how many readers find it interesting. If no readers exists, it's fine, I just wanted to give Colin a fresh take and a different kind of HP Fanfic.

James was excited at the opportunity for a research fellowship in Paris. How romantic it could be, except that he had no one with whom to share it, and he didn’t speak any French. He's instantly drawn to another young American, Chris, who’s doing an apprenticeship with one of the foremost experts on restoring musical instruments. Saddened that they must go their separate ways, a near-death experience shows them both what matters most.
