Street Words - 7. Chapter 7 Tommy Was A Street Kid

I really love how you pay homage to the The Who with this one

I feel a sense of hope when I read the "Heal me" line. That maybe, when a person finally sees the 'street kid' things will be all right eventually.

"See, me. feel me, touch me..." I can hear Roger Daltrey so clearly. I saw this at the theater when it first came out... such a wonderful poem... a cry to be acknowledged... someone, please care... once again you made me feel... I find myself wondering if this is newer... cheers... Gary...

This stuff you write continues to yank on my emotions ... this is a positive, it brings a necessary awareness to an otherwise limited experience.

I guess what's at play is a toughness that's hard to crack. But that does not lessen the basic human need to love and be loved.

This poem again reminds me that we pass by people in pain everyday and perhaps are too wrapped up in ourselves to even glance down.

Reading several of your poems you saw volumes in only a few words. I guess you and I have a few things in common. Its good to see another survived the streets.
