NaPoWriMo 2017 - 5. Days 28 to 30
April 28, 2017
Once vibrant brick is now faded
Six feet four inches it stands
For years it sheltered the garden
Now gives into weather’s demands
What secrets are protected inside?
Push aside the thorns to see
but your precious blood
is not enough to set the lock free
Bramble and ivy protect and destroy
In the south corner, does mortar perish
No longer does the iron gate open
A guardian; it will not relinquish
April 29, 2017
Monsters hide at every turn
Under beds and behind the door
Run, now, don’t look back
If you see - then you’ll believe
Once you know, there is no hope
April 30, 2017
I don’t want to go bed
It keeps chewing chewing
All day long its in my head
I close my eyes and see it
chewing chewing chewing
