J.A.M. - 3. Chapter 3

J.A.M.

By: Wesley Lewis

Entry 7

When I woke up this morning Drew was in the kitchen fixing breakfast, with Mr. C nowhere to be found. I asked Drew where he was but all he said that he was off running errands. I was tempted to ask him what the argument was about but thought better of it. I asked Drew what we were going to do today and found out had a doctor appointment for a physical and some bloodwork. I wasn’t sure why I needed bloodwork done but Drew just said it was to make sure I didn’t have any kind of blood diseases. I took him for his word and let it drop. Since the appointment was later in the afternoon we watched another Star Wars movie and talked some. Drew told me he had been married previously to a nice woman. They were pregnant with their first child, but unfortunately the child was the result of an affair, which ultimately led to their divorce. Of course, this happened about sixteen years ago. He told me he had been alone until about eight years ago when he met Mr. C. He said that they hit it off the first night. He told me all the little things Mr. C would do, like send him a rose every day, or leave little notes for him to find. After dating for about a year they moved in together in this house and six months later they were happily married.

After him telling me about his life, he asked about mine. I told him all the things dad did with me. Every Saturday we would try to go fishing, hiking, or some other kind of outdoor activity worked. Me and my mom used to have a beautiful rose garden we tended to. Gardening was a small passion of mine and we always had our own vegetables that we cooked with. Every night before I would go to sleep they would read to me it didn’t matter what book, but they always seemed to make the characters pop off the pages of the book. Even when they thought I was too old to be read to, they still did it because they enjoyed it as much as I did. He asked me if I had any pictures of my parents and I kept just one that had all three of us together. When I showed Drew the picture he turned white suddenly. I asked him what was wrong but he just said he thought he might have done some consulting for my parents once. After handing me back my picture, Drew said it was almost time to leave so we got ready and went to the doctor.

Entry 8

I HATE PHYSICALS! Seriously someone should have warned me about the doctor touching my junk like that. His hand was ice-cold. My boys still haven’t come back out yet. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating just a bit. Also, that bloodwork was a bitch. First that strapped that rubber band on my arm, slapped it, and then jammed a needle into my arm! Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse I had to pee in a freaking cup. I’m still not sure why but hey he was a doctor I should trust him, right? Anyway, after that the doctor said my vitals were all normal and everything looked positive so far and said the other tests would be back soon. After we left the doctor Drew took me out for some ice cream. I noticed he had a band aid on his arm and he said he had some blood drawn too for some tests. As we ate our ice cream I asked him about his family. He told me about his parents and how they supported him when he told them he was bisexual. He said they didn’t really like his wife but they loved Mr. C. It was nice getting to know about Drew. I just felt comfortable around him like I’ve known him my whole life. We got back home and Mr. C was back, he asked me if he could speak to Drew alone for a few so I just went up to my room. Once again I heard some yelling and began to get worried because I don’t think that they argued before I got here, maybe this wasn’t a good place for me to be if I was causing problems.

I love reading y'all's theories. I can definitely say that Drew and Mr. C aren't father and son.

Mother and son?  ;–)
