this chapter ties in with Wesley and Seamus ch.10

Chapter 16

Entry 50

Ok, so the day started of totally boring. That is until Old lady Jones lost her shit and more than likely her job. It started when she sprung a surprise test on us today, which I thought was totally unfair because it was Wesley’s first day back at school. The thing is though, she had no way of knowing that all his friends kept him up to date on classwork and homework. Even though the old crone wouldn’t accept it from him. He passed the test and she gave him an F on it saying he cheated. He took another test in front of the Principal and she still accused him of it. Then she called him a faggot in front of Dr. Calhoun and he suspended her on the spot. Apparently, there had been multiple complaints about the hag, but nobody had any proof about it until today when she was recorded saying those awful things about Wesley. Oh, I almost forgot Wesley and Seamus came out to us today, well me Phillip and Benji were sitting at the same table as they were when it happened, but we were close enough to hear. I can’t wait for tomorrow, we have the first Gay Straight Alliance meeting. I’m anxious to see who all shows up for it.

Entry 51

Today was one of the best days at school so far. Wesley’s dad Mr. Oates took over for old lady Jones and he actually made the material fun to learn. For the first time in that class, I felt I had generally learned something. Me and Phillip introduced ourselves to Wesley today and he is so cool considering what he’s been through. We made plans to hang out over the weekend, I’d have to see if Dad and Pops could put together another BBQ type thing. We also had the first GSA meeting today. Mr. Lee was the advisor. There were several people I was surprised to see there. One was Brandon Calhoun, he was the Principals son. Even the older brother of Melvin Chambers was there, I think his name is Tommy. All the regulars from lunch were there, but it seemed like Benji and Chloe weren’t talking to each other as much as they had been, guess they might have broken up, I’ll have to ask him later. When I saw Brandon there I realized it was him that had written the paper in English class. After getting home I asked the dads about the BBQ and they thought it was a great idea to do it. So, this weekend we would have like a block party.

Entry 52

Today in school was pretty mundane. The most exciting thing was that we leaned the GSA was planning to sponsor a dance for all students. Me, Phillip, Wesley, and Seamus all volunteered for the decorations for the dance. It was going to be a blast. Wesley was excited because later this week he was getting the last cast off his arm. He’s been working with a therapist trying to build up some muscle mass in his arms. From what he told us his therapist and his dad were best friends growing up and just recently reconnected. They’re supposed to be coming over to the BBQ on Saturday. We had homework from Mr. Oates (Wesley’s dad) but it was easier to do than when Jones gave it. She had the annoying habit of assigning homework over things we would go over in the next class, as opposed to Mr. Oates, who gave us homework over the material we covered that day in class. I hope they offer him the job for the rest of the year. Leah is being overly yappy, so I guess I should take her out before she has an accident.

The next chapter introduces a new character, and one of our straight boys may not be straight all the way

I think you gave us a big clue here!  ;-)

@Dahawk might carry one sort of contagion, but @Bndmetl is just one of many authors who are infected with the 90% LGBTQ/10% straight virus. It seems like @Wesley8890 may have caught that bug! Must be why there was only one Openly Gay student plus a couple Closeted kids (including me) in my fairly large high school – RuPaul attended a few years after I graduated.  ;-)

:fight: Kind of mean. See @Wesley8890 this is where the middle finger option should be available. It should be glorious and emit love hearts so it's done in an affectionate way.

Sorry, I thought this was your quote;

Yes, but many years after I had graduated. I certainly never met him or any of the other famous people who are also Alumni. RuPaul wasn’t happy with the school – or San Diego.  I went to school in San Diego, graduated in 72' went to Madison High.

That was me! I graduated from Crawford in ’77. But through my father’s church, I knew people who attended Madison, Patrick Henry, Helix, and other schools around the area. My older brother graduated in ’73, but I can only remember one of his friends (among his many) and she graduated from Crawford too.  ;–)

My brother ran cross-country for Crawford…  ;–)

😎………..….I was in gymnastics in high school, (I wasn't fast enough for basketball and definitely not tall nor heavy enough for football).  I think Crawford had a gymnastic team back then 68' - 72', I was not bad, but not college material.

Aww my story is bringing together alumni!
