This short tale is a reason why the anthology is so good. I never normally read fantasy stories. Wolves, mages etc., are not my thing. And yet, having committed myself to read and review every entry this year, I found this to be really good.

The writing is excellent and the world we enter is intriguing. Already readers are asking for more, which is the best compliment possible.

so, even if you aren’t really into medieval fantasy, try this and, like me, you may be in for a nice surprise

wel done, author

The last line of the story:

“Friends, family, neighbors, fellow lords, and ladies, we have gathered once more on this most august of days to celebrate the Founding of the Foehammer Family. Please indulge me while I tell you the tale….”

I loved the story and encourage you all to read the story to get how it got to the point above.  However,  I suspect it will take a lot of us to get Myr to continue the tale....

Response from the author:

Dave, I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm very sorry that I have so much pulling on my time that I don't get the time to write that I would like.

Another wonderful story in the King's Rangers series.  As the old saying goes, "Please, Sir, may we have more?"

The surprise which happens in the middle of the story makes me wonder how Vale will react when he finds out the event which is such a surprise to Arjun.  Two kids suddenly as wards of Arjun might make Arjon's promise to Vale for after the celebration more challenging to accomplish --

Another tantalizing tale tempting the desire to delve deeper into this world.

Response from the author:

Paul, thanks for reading and reviewing this. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and are enjoying the world as well. :)
