A Good Place 5. The Seachange Series

   (6 reviews)
AGP HEADER PORTRAIT.png

For Tony Scott coming home, five years since he left Thompsonville, to chase his dreams, is daunting. Five years since he has seen the only place he could call home, the only people he has been able to call family, and the only man he has ever loved!
If he is to find happiness he knows he must face the mistakes of his past and face those left behind.
What will he find there? Will the town have changed, or will it still be that sleepy seaside haven he had grown to love? Will he be welcomed back, or will he be shunned? All he can do is step off that bus and knock on that door. Only then will he know if he really is in a good place!

Surf & Mull & Sex & Fun, not quite, replace the mull with beer and/or wine, and you have the essence of this wonderfully warm, witty and ultimately uplifting story. I am sure Mental As Anything would be OK with the replacement.

Another delightful exploration of life in Thompsonville from the pen of the pony. On this occasion Tony is the focus, returning after a lengthy period of absence, he soon realises he is home, the only place he has ever been truly happy, away from his unpleasant childhood spent with his sanctimonious mother, the Monolith. The town where he found acceptance amongst family, his cousin and his cousin's friends, the town where he found a love all-consuming and all-forgiving.

To quote Andrea True, read the first chapter and you will want More, More, More. Read the other stories in the Seachange series first for the full @Mark Ponyboy Peters experience.

Another delightful tale in this series.

See old friends and lovers finding their way back to each other.

See new friends and family that had been pushed apart find how they fit in this amazing group.

Extremely well crafted and the characters are a real delight.

You will need to read the past stories first, I guess this could stand on its own, but would leave more than a few questions.

What a wonderful journey through the week with Tony Scott as he returns home after a five-year absence.  He reconnects with family and friends, but especially with his true love, Aaron.  They both have used the time apart to grow into adulthood and be comfortable with themselves.  Still, the journey to finding themselves needed that time to be who they are now and to rekindle their love.  Tony has planted the seeds for developing a place for young gays who have become homeless due to many reasons, prime among them, having been expelled from their homes.  This is the second in the Thompsonville series which, while standing alone, is enhanced from reading the first volume.

This is the 5th book in the Seachange Series.

We follow Tony Scott as he returns to Thompsonville, after 5 years away.

She him reconnect with friends, family and lovers.

This is going to be an enjoyable time for Tony, but he will have to deal with past issues if he is to reconnect with people properly.

To understand the characters properly it would be best to read the other books first, or you won't know who the main people are.

A fantastic read, that I highly recommend.
