Foolproofed - 1. Day 1

Day 1

This year, the Joker hides his smile behind a mask,

dancing on a tomb,

he points his scepter via Zoom

at those

who failed us! 2,82 million deaths are devastating.

Prompt: Let's write about the pandemic.

A lot of jokers in the world this year, running around like blind mice. Your poem puts words to my utter disappointment in some of my fellow humans who chose to fall for conspiracies, and still don't seem to learn from their folly. This one packs a wallop with few words, Adi. Cheers!

I love the story banner,

It was a spur of the moment production. I'm glad you like it. :)

Wow, powerful words.

Thank you, chris. I am, to put it mildly, very angry.

I absolutely agree with you, Gary. It's the condensed version of an hours-long rant, sometimes it becomes a poem.  :*)

Powerful words and emotions, indeed!

What's sad is that you can "foolproof" a fool 'till you're balls are blue, but foolhardy to believe he'll do more than sit and spin for his own happy ending. Just seems to be the ways and means of things..

Thank you for the thought provoking poem...I enjoyed molto!
