Loving Fiercely: How I Resist - 13. Chapter 13: Talk to Me Like It's Poetry

Flirting with guys using the written word has been underutilized love language that I started getting more into in my 20s. I got a little inspiration from another poet friend who likes to flirt with his words, so I wrote up a little something ;). Hope you enjoy!

Talk to me like it’s poetry

Make it into a melody

Let it take us high like we’re planes

Or wash over us like autumn rains

Let it flow like we are rivers

Its execution gives shivers

Our bodies move like we’re rhythm

We spoke in rhymes like we need them

Our metaphors and similes

Drawn together like harmonies

Let it mend what has been broken

Our words become interwoven

Let’s ride this poetry fever

I’m confident you’ll deliver

Talk to me like it’s poetry

Let's make ourselves a melody

Thanks for reading!
