I like the pace of the story. At first I thought this battle was taking place during WWI, but it quickly evolved into another time and place. Tactics were played out to achieve the strategic goal. Good story.

Thank you, Carl! I did pick up on a technology more aligned with an earlier century. It's not exactly steampunk, as that's often Victorian, but I do like fantasy magic mixed with a more mechanical technology setting for sure. I'm really glad the battle scene and storyline played out well; I wrote it over 3 different days, so I was worried the flow would be off. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!

A fascinating, well written story I highly recommend. Cia's writing skills are on display here, and although you might be left wanting more, you will still feel satisfied. Cheers!
