Stepping Out in Faith

   (7 reviews)
Genres: Romance
Sub-genres: Contemporary Romance

Andy is a deeply closeted priest who has lived his life denying his sexuality. But after a rogue night with Marcus, indulging in long buried temptations, Andy can no longer ignore the truth about who he is. Can he come to terms with his sexuality without abandoning his faith? Will Marcus stick around while Andy learns what it means to be a gay Catholic?

Warning: This story contains sex scenes between two men that are explicit and graphic. The story also contains a heavy religious element. Readers who find either of these uncomfortable are advised to proceed with caution.

This is a story that should be on everyone's reading list. The writing is wonderful. Funny in parts, heartbreaking in others as two men struggle with themselves and allowing themselves not to lie to themselves and love. great job Hudson!

One of my favorite stories, it has really touched me... Every chapter is beautiful, as is every encounter between the two main characters. Not ashamed to say it made me cry A LOT!  I recommend this to all romantics out there!

Stepping out in Faith, is a wonderful story. It is the coming out journey of a gay Catholic priest. It is sensitively written and had me laughing, sighing and crying.

Hudson Bartholomew got it just right. That empathy for one struggling with faith and sexuality, a struggle many of us have experienced.

A fabulous read.

Torn between faith, believing, church canons on one side, and sexual identity and love on the other side, catholic priest has to choose path to his future. Is it possible to make a wise decision, a decision that can reconcile those two different worlds? Author explores the deepness of human mind, confronted emotions, fears, passion, love, faith… Chemistry between two main characters is incredible, they influence each other on so many levels. Andy, the priest, finds the way to accept himself the way God has made him, and Marcus, artist and sort of a playboy, finds the way to true love. Their relationship has been beautifully developed, with some of the best described, sensual and realistic love making scenes.

I have discovered this author on other site, and, as I can see, she is not active for a long time. I would like to leave this review as support if @Hudson Bartholomew decides to share some more of her remarkable talent with us.
