Musings of a Wordsmith - 17. A Forest of Light
I know it’s springtime, I just felt like sharing this poem with you.
A forest in Winter,
steely cold the air
as a new day is dawning.
Light opens up a path
through calm woods,
light colors in harmony
the gaze of the walker.
Chest swelling
in the cold breeze,
the smells of the forest
waking up your senses.
In the swift slumber of silence,
at dawn you finally find
the seeds of light
which will turn
into a garden
your wounded heart.
