Musings of a Wordsmith - 8. Chapter 8 - A Summary

At the beginning:
coming into life
to doting parents,
to loving siblings,
finding myself
in a sheltered place;
feeling safe, secure, loved.
Time to move away,
up to a new start.

A new beginning:
finding my place in life,
changing places,
changing countries,
changing languages,
founding my own family,
wife, kid,
feeling once again
safe, secure, loved.
Until everything shatters:
up then again to a new start.

A different beginning,
finding my place in a new world,
starting a different family,
while trying to keep my bond
to parents, siblings, kid
in this new life of mine
with this love so fresh.
Feeling safe, secure, loved
until all of a sudden
the rug got pulled
from under my feet.
Up once more to a new start.

A lonely beginning:
picking up the scattered pieces
of another world crashed down,
rebuilding my life in this setting.
Learning again to stand on my feet,
to be, to live, to accept,
to feel again
safe, secure, loved,
this time, though,
on my own.
