Of Heaven and Hell: The Beginning - 11. Chapter 11
Chapter 10
We walked out of the school together. Our fingers intertwined. We saw Peter and Riley standing on the bridge waiting for us.
“I hope you two weren’t waiting that long.” I said.
“No, not that long.” Peter replied.
I laughed and we all walked to Peter’s car. We hoped in and then he drove me to my house, Kevin got out at my house. We said goodbye to them and then we walked inside. My mom and dad were in the kitchen. I walked right in Kevin was close behind and then I saw them look at me funny.
“Sweetie, who’s this?” Mom asked
“This is Kevin, he’s my boyfriend.’ I said proudly.
“Ha, Rachel owes me ten bucks and you owe me five.” My dad screamed. My mom got out of her purse five dollars and gave it to my dad.
‘I honestly thought he liked girls.” She said with a smiled. I laughed at them.
“I’m glad; I can help you win a bet.” I said to my dad they smiled and then I and Kevin went up to my room.
We walked in and he shut the door and locked it tight.
“So, how long have you known?” He asked
“I didn’t, you just told me that I was right.” I said with a smile
“Your sneaky, you know that.” He said
“I know I am, but thanks for telling me.” I said giving him a small kiss on the lips He smiled at me and then kissed me back. He threw me on to my bed with such force I yelped. I sat up and looked at him with a sad look.
“What was that for?” I asked.
“I felt like lying down and you would get off of me so, I had to use force. “ He said appearing beside me in seconds. I laughed at his speed and then I actually fell asleep in his arms. I woke up a few hours later and saw that I was still in his arms. I looked at the clock and saw that it was 10:30 at night. I thought that maybe he should go home, but when I tried to get up I saw that I was in my boxers. I turned back around and looked at him. He was in his as well. I smiled at the fact that he stayed the night with me, but in the morning I would slap him for undressing me. I laid back down in his arms and fell right back to sleep.
I woke up for the second time, but now it was early morning on a Saturday, it was also the first day of Christmas break. I looked to my side and saw Kevin’s smiling face; I quickly tapped him on the head.
“Hey, what was that for?” He asked.
“For undressing me last night.” I said. He blushed and then apologized and I forgave him rather quickly. Damn this boy and the things he does to me. I got dressed and then walked down stairs. My mother was making breakfast and I guess my dad had something to do. I walked over to her to see what she was making and I saw blueberries and waffles. I hugged her and she laughed I went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water and then went into the living room. I almost made it to the couch, but just as I was about to sit down, I felt to arms wrap around my thin waist and pull me close. I yelped at the gesture. I tilted my head back ward to see Kevin standing right behind me. I smiled and we went to the couch and sat down and started to watch T.V. I looked back at him after the first show we watched was over and saw that he was still in his boxers. I was embarrassed and hysterical at the same time. I blushed a red so bright I don’t even think the sun could compare to it. He looked at me funny and I looked back at him.
“You’re not wearing any clothes.” I said plainly
“Oh” He said embarrassed as hell.
“I’m not complaining its just I don’t think my parents would like my boyfriend half-naked in their living room.” I said smiling. He laughed and let go of me. I watched him go up the stairs and walk right back down. Now he had pants on, but still no shirt. His chest was beautiful. He had a small six pack and his chest was flat, he was skinny and hot the best thing a gay guy could ever want. I walked up to him and then kissed his cheek. He was totally adorable.
“Do you want to go you for a walk?” He asked
“Sure.” I said back. He got up and walked to the door grabbed my shoes, his shoes and a shirt and then we were out the door on our walk to anywhere.
It was rather worm that day, in the 70’s and it’s the middle of winter. We had been walking for a long time and we were nearing my favorite part of the park. I grabbed his hand and led him to a small place on the side of the pathway. I stopped right in front of the statue. It was a statue of Cerberus, the guard dog of the under world. No one in town knew why this was here, but they all came here to admire its beauty. We smiled and then something weird happened. I heard a small snarling sound. I turned around to see Kevin in a down right position pointed toward the meadow behind the statue. He sprang out of the bushes and in to the meadow, I followed suit. That’s where everything got weird. I looked over to where I saw Kevin and standing there was a man dressed in all white. He had blonde hair and blue eyes.
“Well, well, here I thought no one would be here in this puny town, but here you are Lunen and ready for a fight. Well sorry about your luck I’m only here for the Ventus Key and then I’ll be on my way.” He said
“Good, luck finding it Crad. I haven’t even sensed it yet.” Kevin said
“Oh, I’ll find it, but while I’m here, why play with you a little. Are you for me, Lunen?” Crad challenged Kevin jumped right at him, but Crad dodged to the left and hit him with a sword to the side. I heard him scream. He landed on his feet next to me.
“Get out of here.” He screamed at me. I listened and ran back to the bushes. They last thing I heard was Kevin’s scream.
I ran as fast as I could to get away from the intense battle that was happening over there. I ran until I felt a large figure in front of me. It was a boy, no older then 19. He was wearing black jeans and a blue shirt that said: Dreams rule the Future, Nightmares taunt the past. He had blue eyes and dirty blonde hair.
“Don’t be afraid. I’m a friend of Kevin. The name’s Nightmare.” He told me. I looked on his back and saw a huge sword. It was a least three yards long and two feet wide. He held out a hand to me. I took it and then the next thing I knew was I was on his back go back to where I came from.
We came out a few feet away of where we were, but we still saw Kevin and Crad fighting in the back part of the park. I saw Crad holding a huge sword and in glistened in the sun. The tint of the light from the blade a dark red, I was truly scared now, for the first time in my life I was scared and I hated the feeling. I couldn’t do a damn thing to help him at all. I just have to stand there and hope to god he wins. Nightmare tensed up, I thought he saw the blood too. He pulled out his sword and started charging toward the pair. I followed suit. He was much faster than me and he got there way before I did. I ran up beside him and then looked at Kevin. He had cuts and bruises up and down his body. His right arm was covered in fresh blood and his left had a huge gash down in and blood oozed out like the pulp from a squeezed apple. Parts of his chest were showing from the rips and tares in his nice blue shirt that I liked. His left leg was swollen and the right had a few cuts in it, but it looked fine. It was the only thing that did. I looked at Nightmare. He had his sword drawn and looked like he would have killed anyone or thing in his path at that moment. Crad, on the other hand, was completely untouched. There wasn’t a single scratch on him. I dropped my jaw at this. I couldn’t believe he was completely fine.
“You’re getting sloppy Lunen. I mean you haven’t laid a finger on me. I think you’ve lost your touch.” Crad said. He spun around real quick and his eyes landed on me. I stared at them for a second. They were dark and black absent of all life and happiness. I could feel their gaze wretch over my body searching me for something. They stopped on my necklace. I quickly grabbed the small charm on it.
“Well, Toby does know how to hide things well. I can’t believe I was so foolish not to see the Darkus key wrapped around his little brother’s neck.” He said to all of us. I was shocked to hear his name and then the fact that he knew my older brother was weird too.
“I’ll have to pay him a visit, later and give a round of applause.” He said
“My brother’s alive!!!!!” I screamed.
“Yes, very much alive my dear boy, he’s sitting in a tower in Mooresville, Washington. He is the head of the Mighty Organization XVI. They go around disguising themselves as lowlife humans trying to protect your filthy race. For countless millennia, I have tried to understand their actions and I have still yet to come up with an answer to the question as why? Why do you they risk their lives protecting you wastes of space when they could be helping the Master Sanctorum purify this putrid world of you abnormalities, but no they have to go and try to save you. What a waste of power.” He rambled. I had tuned him out after he told me my brother was alive. I looked at Kevin and Nightmare. They both had serious looks on there faces and I knew that this was going no where good. I looked back at Crad and tuned in to what he was saying.
“Well, I guess I’ve rambled enough. So, how about you give me that charm on your necklace and no one will have to die today.” He said holding out his hand. I flinched back toward Nightmare and put my hands over the charm. I didn’t care if he was alive. He wasn’t getting Toby’s Necklace. I looked at Kevin. He was ready to pounce on him at anytime. He stood up and started running toward Crad. He chuckled a little as he watched him run at him, but his laugh turned to a frown as soon as he saw something Kevin was holding. I don’t know where he got it, but Kevin was holding a huge white great sword with an inscription on the blade. I could make only one thing out and I was certain that it was the name of the blade. Thing I read said: OathKeeper.
