I finally found Rose's stories/poems this morning. I read all the poems and gave them glowing reviews. As I was about to start this story some darned thing called work intervened. I'm going to read this and her other story when I wake up in the morning.

What happened to his hair an eyes. Assuming it's the same Whiskey in your previous story his eyes changed from whiskey coloured to green and his hair from red to grey... unless of course he's got old but that doesn't sound right. I know you said the stories weren't connected but stil... hmmm... You have me wondering what is going to happen to these people and I would really like to know. It seems that they all have skeletons in their closets and clouds on their horizons.

Ah, it's the same Whiskey. I was just playing around with new looks and styles at the time. I've gone back to Whiskey having the whiskey colored hair and moss green eyes (since I rather like that color on him) and brandywine has peach colored hair and moss green eyes. But the history is the same, and the attitudes. But I'm glad you like it. As I said before, I hope to write more eventually.

Bitch. You didn't say so but I get the impression that she somehow had something to do with the 'accident'. I hope he made enough arrangements with his lawyer before he died to screw her good. It's a beautiful story again, very insightful and full of colour and detail. I like delicacy of style and you have it

*falls over laughing* I think you're the first one to outright say it. But yes, he did. He screwed her over so badly. I just haven't had the muses or the inclination to write that next story. And yes, she was the one who set things up. Again, no inclination or muses to write it. soon hopefully.

I like this story very much. As a came piece it is beautiful, filled with detail and enchantment. I think the characters are delicately drawn and it all feels...right.

Thank you. Whiskey and Brandywine....they're my first original characters that I had made in nearly 5 years at the time. Since this story, I have...changed their looks but they're still them. Just better. I'm hoping to get some more character studies out with them. Maybe one about the RP forum I'm a part of.

I think you write into a tradition -- that of the yaoi 'genre' --that I'm not familiar with. I don't mind that it's 'incestuous' (cousins are far enough removed for me not to even blink at). The story in general is well-written, with some good prose, but it lacks conflict to drive it forward. As is, I feel like I'm reading about Barbie dolls. That's harsher than I intended, but you get the idea. It's a good piece anyhow, and I'm sure you will only improve with time.

 

I don't mind, and yes, I write as a yaoi girl. That was the begining of my writing style. rnSince this was a stand alone, otherwise known as a 'one shot', but part of a series of stand alone stories, there wasn't supposed to be much conflict to drive it forward. I'm going to make a note of this again but this time in bold words. It was also a request and I filled the plot line that she wanted.

 

Anyways, thank you for the review and your review was fine. Usually, my writer is fuller and deeper, but that's usually with my chapter stories. I hope that I will continue to grow with the help of everyone here.
