Is this Pro-Science or Pro-Religion? Interesting TV Show Clip
So I was looking up the Twilight Zone and came upon this episode clip of the 1985 series. I never watched the 1980's series, because it came before I was born and the classics in the 1960's series to me are far better in terms of the Twilight Zone stories. However, I was drawn to this one, since it was based off a story from Arthur C. Clarke. Clarke was influenced by Eastern thought and the cycle of Creation/Destruction are prominent in this story.
I watched it and felt sort of conflicted by the meaning, Is the death of an entire species really worth Mankind's inspiration in Christianity? Is this episode mocking Christianity for basing itself on a funeral pyre or raising it to a new Symbiosis with Science by showing us a cycle of events?
Even though the graphics are dated, the ideas are still interesting
