Rip Robin Williams

Okay I have to let it out. I'm crying my heart out right now. I'm broken. My favorite actor Robin Williams has died. The second I saw the headline I started crying. My brother was making fun of me for crying but I don't care.
See everybody growing up watching him I was amazed how much talent a person could have. He could play any thing. He could a hundred voices and all of them spoke to me. He could make us laugh . He could make us cry. He could make us feel. Watching him, made me want to make movies. He made me want me want to entertain. He was my top example of what being an entertainer meant.
When I was lonely, he was my goofy friend. When I was cold and heartless, he touched me and reminded me that I was only human.
I knew that he was a little troubled. Most brilliant people are. I know had he struggled with drugs and depression. But the road to his death dose not change my image of him.
RIP Robin Williams, and though you never met me you have impacted me more than you know.

Yes, he was a genius :,( and a great actor.  I was so happy when he (finally) won an Oscar for Good Will Hunting. RIP Robin

That was one of the most beautiful things I've ever read.

I think if you had it proofed and sent it to his family (not sure how to do that), they would be touched knowing how much Robin Williams affected you. I think it will make them happy knowing that there's at least one person out there who has been touched so much by him.

Idk...it was a thought. What you wrote was so heartfelt and emotional and I think they would appreciate reading it.

Just my thought...

I luckily had the opportunity to meet him and talk to him briefly over several days. He was filming the movie RV (not the best one :P) and staying in the hotel across the street from the store I was working at. Every morning at opening and every evening he would come in for a coffee and a sandwich.

He joked that he needed his exercise and needed to eat healthy, but asked everyone not to tell about his Starbucks weakness :P Over the few weeks, he got to know a lot of the staff's names and was always in a great upbeat mood. Towards the end, customers began to find out about his bi daily appearances and started stalking out the store. Never had the opportunity to say goodbye, or sorry :(

I too grew up with him and somewhat remember Mork and Mindy. I have seen many of his movies and always amazed that he could play and be so many different characters. My all time favourite would have to be Patch Adams. I don't think he needed to do anything special for that role, as I imagine if he had a MD license that would be the type of doctor he would be :)

I will miss him too.
