Ghosts of Christmases Past

As we head into the final days before Christmas 2017, it might be a great time to take a break from the hectic holiday season and reread some of our anthologies from Christmases Past.

Our 2004 Christmas Anthology:

2004 Anthology: Christmas

https://www.gayauthors.org/stories/browse/category/7-2004-anthology-christmas/

Our 2006 Winter Anthology Blizzard Theme:

Winter 2006 Anthology: Blizzard

https://www.gayauthors.org/stories/browse/category/11-winter-blizzard/

Our 2015 Secret Santa Short Story Contest:

Christmas 2015 Secret Santa Short Story Contest

https://www.gayauthors.org/stories/browse/category/80-2015-secret-santa-short-story/

We'd also like to remind all authors that we have 4 Anthology themes for 2018 and a Novella Contest:

  • 2018 Spring Anthology: Encounters - Due May 15th

Thanks for featuring these.  I don't think I've read the 2004 and 2006 anthologies, so I'll be sure to check them out.  I don't normally plug my own work, but the story I wrote for the 2015 Christmas Story Contest - "The Old Ways" is about Yule, which is today.  So Happy Yule!  :D

Yes, @Ronyx has the candle lit on his site. I just lit one and read his story. It's heartbreaking. He sounds like he was a very mature and talented teenager.

I'd never read that story before. It was beautiful, but so sad. Yet somehow the end was bright in a wonderful way.

Codey was an extraordinary young man, so gifted and talented. I'm glad I had the opportunity to get to know him before he left us too soon.

You can light a candle for him during the holidays here:  Light a Candle for Codey

Thanks, Myr, for showcasing some previous anthos. I absolutely LOVE the anthos, so I'll need to check out the earlier ones.

I've worked my way through most of the Christmas stories, and I managed to leave enough comments to overtake you, Lisa. Ready to take up the challenge and catch me again?
