Wintry Prompts 1/21/22

Much of the Eastern United States is being hammered by a massive snowstorm as I write this.  We're getting close to two feet of snow where I live.  So it feels fitting to feature two prompts based on snow.  What's it like where you live?

PT Prompt #15 - Technical

Describe a cold, snowy winter to a pen pal who has never seen one.

PT Prompt #16 - Creative

The Gay Snowman.  How does a snowman find love?

Rain and low 80s here. What's this snow thing you mention?

I think YOU should write me a letter about it. :P

We've had two record-breaking snowfalls so far this month, and @wildone has decided to send us his arctic air.  It's currently 4F and supposed to get sub-zero for the next two nights.  I prefer cold to heat, but there is a middle ground.  The 30s will feel balmy after these temps  lol

I'll try to write that letter today or at least this weekend.  I'm fighting off a sinus cold, so I'm not feeling all that well.  :(

It's been frosty overnight the last few days, but it's currently sunny and around 6 degrees Celsius (also in UK).

We've been sitting around the -10  to -20 C the past week. No real snow. We do have a chinook blowing in though this weekend and getting up to 16 C.

I love living on the east side of the Rockies

It was down to 5 F this morning and yesterday was down to 6 F  with a high of 19.  Today the high reached 26 F and the low tonight is a comparatively balmy 15 F.    Normal high for this time of year is 39 F and normal low is 20 F. The weather and temps in the northern tier of states in the winter is why I live in the middle tier.
