I would love to have a fun weekend. Sadly, it seems everyone is plotting against me. My friend who was supposed to show up, hasn't and didn't even bother to send me a message. He's going to pay next time we talk...

My teachers have decied that now is an excellent time to assign a massive workload. So, one research paper for english, one debate for civics and random junk for other classes, and SAT studying = not a fun weekend. And Sunday is my mom's b-day. I hope my dad doesn't screw it up this year. If he does it'll be the second year he's screwed up bother their anniversary and her b-day...

I was going to play quake to relieve some agression but I realized that upgrading to ubuntu breezy has killed my nvidia drivers so... yeah. Still, I'm better off than a lot of people. I'll think of something fun!

Anyway, I chomp at the bit at the chance to read the new chapter, sorry you had such a difficult time writing it.

With all that is going on in the lower center states we all seem to need a break fron the bs that nature seems to be lashing out upon us. I hope that Rita is more hipe and cools her anger before land fall.

Dom your right, we need a good weekend even if halfway through it we are going to be sitting on the edge of our seats hoping that everyone will be alright in that next of the world.

I know what it's like to get stuck on a chapter. In fact, I addressed the subject in my blog (the Paralysis of Over-Analysis).

Non-authors sometimes don't fully appreciate the impact of real-life on an authors output. Like say... it's very difficult to crank out a story when your power is down for a week after a hurricane.

As writers, we're vulnerable to all of the time consuming stuff that everbody else is like weddings, funerals, family reunions, overtime... or the many things that can make life hectic and crowded.

So... I understand.

I'm just glad that Rita wasn't as bad as Katrina (that bitch, as my sister calls her) the saddest thing for me is that the people who had to evacuate to texas had to go through it all over again.
