Righty, So the Big meeting happened yesterday...

Chris told me what went on so here we go.

Chris went to his dads on Friday night, had dinner with them and stayed over. Saturday morning he and Jon had some time to talk, So he again asked him if he was sure he wanted to go through with this. Jon told him he was certain he was doing the right thing, that he's nervous about his dad's reaction but that it had to be done.

Promising him full support whatever happens Chris agreed that they would do it that afternoon.

They asked their Dad to sit with them so they could talk. Jon started by telling his Dad that he doesn't want to lie to him about anything, but that he had been and needed to be open with him.

his dad just nodded his head and asked what's wrong. Jon just came out and said that he's gay and has known for a long time.

His Dad just nodded again looked him in the eyes and said this... Jon I

Cheers to Jonny for his honesty and courage.

Cheers to Dad - for a lot of things - for his compassion and understanding, his patience, his willigness to ask for help.

Cheers to all young gay men who want to live their lives out loud.

Dear David, Chris, Jon and Dad,

Congratulations...somehow I feel Moms and Dads just know....I couldn't have been more stunned that my Dd knew..(my friends kept telling me he would be cool and understanding and loving...and his reaction was pretty much the same as your Dad(in-law) and told me he always knew, loved me and wanted me to find love and happiness since he knew I had been unhappy for some time but figured it was up to me to tell him since he didn't want to intrude)

All in all, I knew your Dad would do exactly what he did..he wants his sons to be loved and to love...

Jon is incredibly brave, he is blessed to have Chris and Dave as brothers and one cool loving Dad, who is also brave and loving and understanding for being their for his sons:) Love is always a growing process...and lucky for Jon he had Chris to help pave the way:)

Hugs to all....and thanks for sharing such an amazing coming out story:)
