Ok, I just finished writing the story for this Anthology and now it's with my editor.  It took a long time to write and it's over 16,000 words, but it's divided into sections to make it easier if someone can't or doesn't wish to read it all in one sitting.  I hope you all enjoy it.

It takes practice, but I'm not exactly quick at doing it.  I just started early.  My biggest problem is keeping on track, because the train has a tendency to get derailed.

Use the prompts to practice writing short stories and you'll find it gets a little easier over time.

If the leap falls short, i.e a loss of faith, would it still qualify?

Absolutely! You are free to interpret the theme however you want.  Sometimes leaps are not successful.

And sometimes leaps are graceful, like a gazelle. And other times more like a lumbering elephant.

Leaping is definitely not one of my strong suits.

I sure hope my leap doesn't look like this.

Some of us are luckier in that regard I suppose. I had the foundation already written for a previous entry on a writing site, defunct, fortunately, my identity is still hidden. I generally write in my mind while I'm lying in bed at night. The next day it goes down on paper. I can usually pump out a chapter in a day, two days for the longer stories. Being able to focus on the story is important.
