Tiger Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Dr. Phil is making a big deal about sexting along with other media outlets. I see nothing wrong with it. In fact, I have sent sexually explicit text messages... I don't know if it's technically sexting or not, because that seems like more of a teen thing, but sometimes my texts are a bit naughty.
Site Administrator Cia Posted December 4, 2009 Site Administrator Posted December 4, 2009 It's just another version of phone sex, whats the big deal? Kids are going to do it. Even conservative states like Utah are changing their laws in response to the popularity of "sexting", reducing charges from felony offenses to a simple misdemeanor. While I don't deny it's an issue at times with kids, is it truly any worse than facebook? Kids will be kids! As for adults, well it's just good fun!
thatboyChase Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I see nothing wrong with it This, plus its fun. So why not?

Krista Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Its a trust issue really, but I think it would be safer to do it via phone than internet, more anonymous that way if you know the person "in real life" from the beginning. But doing that sort of thing with someone from the internet I would think is what raises all the red flags, because it is more personal, traceable and all that.. I won't be sending naked photos anywhere though.. lol... but I have trust issues, its just too easy to push the send button
KiwiShadow Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Meh I think it's perfectly fine for people who consent and aren't offended. If someone doesn't like it, they can tell the person to stop or have their provider block the number, simple as that.
Prince Duchess Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 ...but sometimes my texts are a bit naughty.
Kev de Cauchery Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I woke up one morning and found a super-naughty text on my cell phone. It got me a smile all day.
TetRefine Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Theres nothing wrong with sexting in and of itself. The problems start when the person who recieves the pictures starts sharing it with other people that the person who sent them never wanted them to see. And before you know it, half the school has seen them and the person in the pictures are devestated because they're being called "slut, skank, whore, etc., etc.". I saw it happen to a girl at my school and it did not end well. But this is just from a high school point of view.
Camilo Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Right, shit like this happens when girls are around, ::laughs evily::
Site Administrator Cia Posted December 5, 2009 Site Administrator Posted December 5, 2009 Right, shit like this happens when girls are around, ::laughs evily:: I think I shall be offended on behalf of girldom....cause guys aren't the ones passing photos around...oh no not at all
Tiger Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 I think I shall be offended on behalf of girldom....cause guys aren't the ones passing photos around...oh no not at all I'm sure girls spread those around too. Ironically, teens who spread around photos like that can be charged with a crime.
thatboyChase Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I don't even text people. You should learn then we could have oodles of fun.
Nephylim Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 In the UK it's illegal to have indecent photos of a minor on your phone let alone to pass them on. It's a strict liability offence which means there is no defence and they don't have to be naked or in compromising positions.
Tiger Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 You should learn then we could have oodles of fun. You just want to see his naughty bits.
Jack Scribe Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 You just want to see his naughty bits. This thread cracks me up. I'm in the James camp - don't text people, period. However, I am aware that many lads loooooove to show off their attributes. Thank God for cellphones, mirrors and immodest posing! The sexting posts prove that all men are not created equal...and then some.
Kia Zi Shiru Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 messages yes, ofcourse, but hell, I sometimes just have to spend too much time away from my guy or my computer And I like being naughty but pictures? my phone doesn't even allow me to send them, can't even upload them to my comp.... Can take them but that's it and there is not that much fun in making pics of yourself and keeping them to yourself... so nope.... But I've got a lot of issues with teens and naked/indecent pictures..... according to my (then) 13 year old lil sister who put pictures of herself looking like a child hooker on places like hyves and such.... When I commented on it she told me that yes she sometimes got messages about it from old guys but she just 'ignored' them..... meh..... she just doesn't see the evil in it and it happens a lot like that until one of those guys gets hold of their address or phone number..... Or publishes them at other places..... but maybe that is just me......
Tiger Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 I've noticed that it's close to being opposite as few have sent dirty pics but most have sent risque messages.
Arpeggio Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I won't lie, I do it. I send naughty pictures to my boyfriend. ;p However, to no one else. It's a trust thing for me.

FairyTaleSkies Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I won't lie, I do it. I send naughty pictures to my boyfriend. ;p However, to no one else. It's a trust thing for me. I'm the same. I used to send 'sext' messages to my ex but then it was a trust thing and not like I sent them to everyone I know. Only problem was when we broke up...there was that little fear that she'd be nasty enough to send them to other people.
MikeL Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I don't even text people. Nor do I. Under my cell phone plan, AT&T charges me 20
Tarin Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Someone (fortunately) got arrested for picture messaging child pornography to a wrong number in my state. Sometimes I will send a dirty text, but never a naked picture. The margin for error is too great, accidentally picture messaging a picture of my wee-wee to some random person does not appeal to me.
Guest Renese Williams Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 While I may not text often, I do send naughty texts sometimes. I just can't resist. ^^;
