Partially started story

I started writing a story called The Prophecy of Adrian James and I was all set up with a co-author. But he bailed on me 6 months ago. So I had chapter 1 all written and I decided to put it up in my Yahoo! Group, but now I feel guilty because there likely won't be a chapter 2.

 

The concept I had in mind was two stories in one, with me writing the odd numbered chapters from the POV of the new student at this school. The even number chapters would be written by my co-author from the POV of another student/fraternity chapter President.

 

So far in the story the character I'm writing for is Adrian James, a new student at University. He's from North Carolina, and is brought into pledge for a fraternity. Adrian doesn't remember anything from before the age of 5, when he was adopted. The other character is Dylan Carpenter, who is the President of the fraternity, and has a secret that if it got out, would change Adrian's world view forever. Do you have intentions of finishing or not finishing? You said there likely won't be a second chapter but you want readers? Can you clarify your intentions? I would read it but if it's not going to be a complete story... I find it very uncompelling to read it.

I hate to see people give up on projects. I hope you keep going and get things figured out. I find that all the time life throws us in directions that we don't plan for. We just have to navigate through them. Hope you navigate through this.
