Angels in America (Powerful!!)

Australia

Avatar (The best visual effects to date I would suggest)

Babel

Babette's Feast (A woman spends her life savings on one dinner)

Batman Series including The Dark Knight (Full of unreal characters that take on a life of their own)

Beauty and the Beast (Disney)

Billy Elliot (Coal miners son struggles to become a ballet dancer)

Casablanca (One of the great movies of all time)

Chicago (A gritty Musical with biting satire)

Chinatown

A Clockwork Orange (Bitter violent social comment)

The Da Vinci Code (A mysterious romp across Paris)

The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951 Original - Still relevant in 2011)

Realistic and disturbingly beautiful gay themed gang movie: Shank

Drag and gay themed, real life based: Soldier's Girl

Me and my husband watched Soldier's Girl together.. lol. I was watching it and he got nosy.. I told him that it probably wasn't his kind of thing.. but we watched it anyway. It's one of my favorite LGBT movies.

Precious - I thought it was so powerful and Monique was great in it!

District 9 - An amazing film that turned out to be something totally different than I thought it would be.

Coraline - If you don't mind animated movies, this is one of the best I've seen in years.

Transamerica - Soooo funny and great writing.

Jennifer's Body - A really underrated movie. Many quotable lines.

Zombieland - Another great, quotable movie.

I hate watching gay themed films with people that don't appreciate the context. So mostly I watch them alone, lol

He liked it, surprisingly. Hated the ending, especially after I told him it was based on a true story. :P
