Mark Arbour Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 In Chapter 59, when Robbie proposes and they work out some of the details for their commitment ceremony, there's a part where each of them picks a song that reminds them of the other. The chapter's already written, but I'm interested to see what you guys would have chosen. Which song did/should Brad pick for Robbie? Which song did/should Robbie pick for Brad?
centexhairysub Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 I gave quite a bit of thought to this and I am of two minds; do they use a song from 1999 that was popular, one from their youths, or one of the classics. I thought about "Someday" by Sugar Ray and "Last Kiss" by Pearl Jam if they went modern. From their youths, I would go with "Endless Love" by Diana Ross and "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper. For the classics, I would pick "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Roberta Flack and "You've Got A Friend" by Carole King. I really think that Robbie is more romantic and more tied to the past, so I think "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Roberta Flack would be a good choice for him. For Brad, I could see him going a little more outside the box; I think Brad's should be "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper. I really think that they should also have a different type of wedding march, I pick " The Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet" by Henry Mancini. What does everyone else think???
Mark Arbour Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 Alright, in all honesty, I didn't put in a wedding march. Oops. If I would have, I probably would have gone with

Mark Arbour Posted January 29, 2011 Author Posted January 29, 2011 Janet Jackson: Control for Brad obviously.. Now let's be fair. He's the new improved Brad.
methodwriter85 Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Now let's be fair. He's the new improved Brad. Mark, I think you have a hard time taking criticism against Brad, because you relate to him the most. It's similiar to how Adam Phillips really doesn't take to kindly to criticism of his literary creation, Andy Sharpe.
Matthew k Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 What every cheesy couple chooses for their wedding song. "Could I have this dance for the rest of my life" 1
