Not sure what to say... it was suggested that I start this to encourage folks to talk about my story... I really do like to hear the speculation concerning who will end up with whom and whether this or that guy is good or bad.

By the way, follow this link to the story: TR's Tale.

There are 6 chapters now in the story of a veterinarian who has decided to head home to small-town Texas. We learn that his name is T.R. and was the "other woman" in a secretive romance back in college. Now he's decided to put that life behind him and show the world he's not afraid to be gay.

TR ends up in a small town not unlike where he grew up, where gossip flies immediately after his arrival. From the conversations he shares with his hunky peer David and the hilarious Julie, news of who (and what) he is has preceded him. All the eligible men in town seem to be baying at his tree and we're taken on a ride during TR's first week as several potential suitors and matchmakers make their intentions known.

TR's Tale is told in first person from TR's perspective. He's witty and charming and feels very comfortable in his own skin. He also has his choice of some very sexy men. Who will he end up with: David, Bill, or Jed? How does Julie seem to read his mind? What's the mysterious past between Jed and Doc?

I love the conversational tone that sojourn has infused into this story. To me, the words give me the impression of another favorite author, Gabriel Morgan, so if you like his work, then you're sure to like this as well.

"Fun tool," "love nut," where do you get these? :lmao:

Bill is so practical, I love it. He really tried to give TR an out, didn't he? That was a wonderful end to an awkward evening. It's interesting to see how perceptive Bill is, and his character is certainly gaining some unexpected dimensions. I am a little worried for TR that Bill seems to be pushing to top. Not that it's bad for them to switch sides, but it seems that after TR told him how uncomfortable with the idea he was that Bill would give him some time. They have just met, as TR seems to want to keep reminding himself. Who knew that Bill would have a weakness for Ben and Jerry's?

I have on more than one occasion served B&J's in just such circumstance.... each time it was well received... Yeah, looks like Bill is not going to fade away after gratuitous sex.... Daved better act soon or forget it.

I've been thinking about the last two chapters and must admit I'm not a fan. There's more mistakes in them than usual, but what really gets me is how the lazy style from the beginning has just vanished. It makes me think you're rushing and I don't understand that, unless it's simply to finish the story before you lose interest in writing? A character like Julie should be used sparingly, but it's like you're beating us to death with the plot every time she appears now.

I had mixed feelings about the chapter where Bill breaks up with Tar. I loved and hated the abruptness of it. With this next chapter it feels more like a style thing, which worries me. I think just the shock of Bill and SOB would've been enough to make Tar wig out. And where did Fred come from? That was just one of the many things that seemed to come out of left field recently.

Once had a friend who presented a paper before the Joint Cheif's of Staff. When the meeting was over the Chief of Naval Operations (highest ranking man in the U.S. Navy cited her as inept, ignorant and ilprepared... Her veiw was, "Once a Naval Officer has been called incompetent by the CNO all else pales in comparison." Are we there yet?
