Yeah, I want the spirit of community to last longer than any one writer or member. We're all part of this site as readers, writers, and even the trolls :P The more people get involved, the more brilliant stories we can have, and it becomes a virtuous cycle. Interaction is the best counter to apathy.

So, that means you are contemplating titles for Valentine's Day stories? :P

Funny enough I never get the chance to celebrate that holiday, none of my relationships ever last to valentines.

For me, it's a rather depressing day where you see couples and poly groups around, but you're the odd one alone.

This is your chance.  You can give us all something to write about.  It will be our Valentine's gift, and yours.  If you like. :thankyou:

Sappy vampires celebrating Valentine's Day? No way! I'll be slaving over my anthology story by then and that other project I'm working on. No.

Aww- you know the idea is in there now Aditus. By the end of January you are going to HAVE to write it down to get it to leave you alone!

Too many vampires stories around mean I need to write about a vampire slayer ! (Dust off my Buffy seasons 1-6 box set and Angel season 1-3 for reference material)

Joanne, congrats and you got praises and a Amazon Gift Card in your messages :D

I think all of our participating authors should get a round of applause.  It takes a lot to put yourselves out there in the first place, and even more to write a story more or less "on demand" based on someone else's suggestion. Well done everyone!

And congrats Joann!

on-demand stories on commission... weird and slightly fascinating prospect.

I've heard of artists being paid per project on demand with commissions and writers with syndication can do the same thing for magazines and anthology series; a lot of Science Fiction writers got their start by writing in Anthologies for peanuts (seriously Philip K. Dick couldn't even pay his rent with what he got paid initially from those publications).
