sandrewn Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 (edited) When she was born this would of seemed like a miracle and (was) an impossible dream. We should all keep in mind, that with time all things may be possible and that dreams can indeed, come true. In Virginia McLaurins' case, it just took 106 years. http://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/106-yr-old-woman-breaks-into-a-dance-upon-meeting-the-president-and-first-lady-watch/ sandrewn (you have to believe) Edited January 29, 2017 by sandrewn 3

sandrewn Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Sportsmanship at its finest I have watched this program for decades. Watched how people acted and observed human nature in those half hour captures of time. I think this the first time that I have seen an example of what a good person should do and then to my amazement DID IT!! This beats seeing someone win the million prize (to me anyways). Thank you for posting this one, Valkyrie. sandrewn 2
sandrewn Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 With every thing I could post here. This one might not rate high in the estimation of some. Hearing how someone paid $500 for an operation to save their pet goldfish, when there are children starving to death in the world. I don't know where to draw the line. So in the grand scheme of things this post may not mean much, but to the little chicks involved it was a life saver. http://www.boredpanda.com/1000-chicks-dumped-field-england/ sandrewn (I was always a soft touch) 2

W_L Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Nasa's "actual" news conference today: Nasa's 'holy grail': Entire new solar system that could support alien life discovered We found some new earth-like worlds, finally. Even if they don't support alien life or complex alien life, if there is an oxygen/hydrogen atmosphere, we should probably consider them a good backup colony site for a generational expedition. It's like house hunting, Mars is a fixer upper within the neighborhood, and these guys maybe perfect suburban two story with a yard 2
