Absolutely fascinating article.  @Headstall Thought you would appreciate how long ago they were breeding for spots. :)

Spoiler

And it made me think of Heartland and the Mongolian Fjord Horses.  LOL

Fascinating, Val. It's amazing what DNA analysis can do now. It's not just about fossils anymore. :)  So, Appys were the first (and best), like the ancient cave paintings inferred. :D

Here's the question for tonight:  for those of you that jump, what's the highest fence you've ever jumped?

Mine is four feet, I believe.  As a teenager I competed mainly at three feet, then in college I was jumping higher.  More 3'6" to 3' 9" fences.

In high school I did track and field.  A 6' fence wasn't much of a challenge. Now I really have to prepare to get over lint.

I currently have 2 horses. Tried to post pics, but even from my cell the file is too big & I have no clue how to resize. Anywho, Scout is my big Sorrell paint gelding (red & white for those that Don't know what a sorrel is). Laela is my Smokey Black Buckskin Mare. I finally got them on pasture a couple weeks ago & outta the pens. They are happy campers. 😁
