But the gap in the hedge is certainly starting to get noticeable. You'll see a lot of cut branches in the foreground that I'll need to gather up and burn eventually. And the view of the distant hills is a bit clearer in this photograph. Just have the hedge high enough to block the cars and the view is awesome! 6 1

Interesting (not sure that's the correct adjective) you'd say that to Marty cause: Folle is female. Fou is masculine. But to call a gay man "une folle" is often used to describe a particularly flamboyant gay man thought not really in a nice way but it's been kinda "adopted" by the community like queer in english 4 1 1

It's not cold but the wind feels wicked, so I'd rather she be out of it. My son was going to pick up wormer for her, but the place closed earlier than it was supposed to. He'll get it Monday. I don't think she's wormy at all, but it won't hurt her, and just maybe it will help a bit. I keep telling myself it's bound to happen but I'm not ready. I'd love to get her through another summer. 1 6

You gave Gary ammo to insult me with. Old Sicilian proverb: "Cod protect me from my friends." (Or something like that.) 6

Since she drew her first breath. Same with her mother. Their photos are in my gallery. I turned down huge amounts of money for her mom... like 'name your price' huge, but I couldn't do it, and I never had any regrets. We won virtually everything together, and she was every horseman's dream. Pure class, and such a talented mover. It was hard to take your eyes off her when she was in a class, and I was told that too many times to count. Her mother(my mare's grandmother) was a first cousin to Northern Dancer. No bull. Absolutely true. We are allowed to cross Appaloosas with Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses, and I bought my mare's grandmother from a woman who boarded her at a Thoroughbred farm I worked part time at, when she was thought incapable of carrying another foal(she was twenty two with a bad hip and had trouble getting up whenever she laid herself down). It wasn't easy, but I got one, much to the chagrin of her previous owner. 1 7

It wasn't easy, but I got one, much to the chagrin of her previous owner. I can understand just how much she must mean to you, now. I have a niece in England who has a number of horses. I think she got her first one around forty years ago when she was about ten. I remember going home to England about 33 years ago and visiting my brother (her father) whilst there. My niece insisted I watch a home made video of a foal being born to her favourite mare (like yours it was related to a famous racehorse, whose name escapes me at the moment). You need to remember that this was in the days before easy video editing, so I finished up watching an almost three hour long VHS videotape, that started when the mare first showed signs of foaling. I think I almost fell asleep before the birth itself... She lost that foal a couple of years ago. She still talks about it; and its mother. 1 6
