I thought it would be interesting if we started a thread on questions we want to know about and if they get answered we can post it here as well, kind of a Q & A thread for ITFB.

 

For example I know one question was why Aiden and Owen split. Where we have no learned from Nicky that they split as a result of the two of them needed time for self-discovery.

 

Some questions I have so far is the following:

 

1. Will Travis ever meet Allan again?

2. Will Owen and Aiden get back together?

3. Is Nicky and Owen still tight, or have they finally drifted from the original split back in

After Dom announced in his blog that he was writing this sequel I re-read The Log Way (for the third time) . Here are a few things that I hope are clarified.

 

1. What really happened when Ben was so badly beaten.

2. Why was Dennis forced to keep that journal that his parents reviewed. :unsure:

3. what was with the "homemade flannel pajamas with a dinosaur print" that Dennis was wearing. :wacko:

Will Travis ever meet Allan again?

 

in response to that question, the last line of the prologue was: It was the last time Travis Beltnick saw his brother.

 

so im assuming no, he won't see Allan again. ;D

Actually what prompted that question was a possablity of the fact that Kyle, was talking about events that would then leand into where we are now. As in... 'It was the last time he ever say him.' And now that your upto speed, here we go into current events. But since this is a third person view story, the question now remains on if this is Kyle telling of the story in the future. On the end of this story will truly answer this question I guess.

What roles will Janie and Adam play in ITFB?

Will Ryan and Lacy ever become friends again (what happened to their relationship)?

Is Dennis gay, straight, or bi?

Will Aiden and his mom be finally able to patch up their relationship (i.e. clean up her life)?

Well, that's what we know so far.....but, what if John Gordon fathered Allan and abandoned him, and later in the story, it all comes out after a sorrid affair between Lyle and Allan??

then it's all the more exciting, also like two completely unrelated stories i've read that turned out pretty much exactly like that.

What are the real reasons for Owen and Dennis hanging out so much? Is it because they feel they have a bad past in common? Is it that they just feel comfortable around each other? Could there be feelings on one or both ends that noone's mentioned yet?

 

 

 

On a different note, when do we learn more about Kyle? The story started with him, so I figured he'd be more central to the plot than he is so far.

Quite possibily. Though they may be just turning to each other for companionship since neither can comfortably hang around their old friends or family. A non-threatening relationship may be part of the inner peace they seem to get from getting together and working with wood. Romantic feelings could mess that up. Maybe they will before the story is over.

I agree with Bard's 2nd response on this one. I think that all that line meant was that: up until now that was the last time Travis saw his brother. It's like if I said "after I graduated high school I never saw my friend Stephan again". This is a true statement at this time and if I were telling a story I might very well use it. However, that doesn't mean that at some point in the future our paths won't cross again.

Perhaps Dennis and Travis are the same person :o .
