It is interesting when the boy decided he would live in his fantasy world and forgo his responsibility, he died. Yes, the Perter Pan syndrome, as you put it. Very well written parable.

I usually don't come by this thread, but I just want to tell you guys, happy holiday season. Visit a place you always want to visit. Take a photo of an overlooked dandelion and make a wish. Try to shop for an inexpensive (but good) wine for your neighbor (or keep it for yourself). Smile (or smile back) at a stranger in a mall though you probably won't see him again. I once passed through United Nation Plaza in San Francisco, which is known for its farmer's market and high concentration of homeless people loitering around. Someone set up a booth to pass out curry rice. It didn't specify the reason why foods were given, but I saw many regular folks like me lined up to receive the anonymous benefactor's kindness. I was quite tempted to join the queue, just as a spontaneous act of silliness.

The ending sucks! I hate it! But it's very well written, but I hate the ending because it's ARGH! I was expecting Michael to die and Gavin's parents to live through the consequences of moral conscience, but not this! Very good surprise ending, but I hate it! I give it a five-star.

I love Daria.... Maybe because I was like anti-establishment (but I am a conservative anti-establishment). And of course, My So-Called Life. No, I don't own any Power Ranger stuff. I don't own a lot of toys. Usually toys were earned by self-imprisonment in the bathroom and crying. No..., it's too taxing to my health to do that all the time, so I didn't have many toys. I was a computer nerd, so most of my "toys" were computer games.
