  1. Just be glad I moved beyond the early draft where he spiked the eggnog with tequila!
  2. Another great chapter!

    Chapter 3

Yea! Jack the Wonder Horse to the rescue! I'm looking forward to peeling back the layers of this scam to see what the corruption is all about.
  4. The mysterious Belgian, Thomas, is intriguing. I see a lot of complications from him as this goes forward.
  5. Dumped before Christmas, Brandon must endure a full Dickensian haunting... only gayer, drunker, and significantly more sarcastic. A ribald, irreverent twist on a classic tale, this is a holiday story about heartbreak, hauntings, and learning that the only thing scarier than ghosts… is self-reflection.
  6. Frustrated, I hurled my paper cup toward the fireplace. It didn’t so much fly as it did flutter, collapsing halfway across the room and landing with a sad little sigh. Even my rage had low self-esteem. “I hate Christmas!” I shouted to my empty living room. It was Christmas Eve, and I was alone in the drafty Victorian house I was supposed to be renovating with my boyfriend, Charles. Correction: my ex-boyfriend. No... correction again: my motherfucking-ex-boyfri
  7. A very readable story about great characters and tickling,

A very sweet story with great characters and lots of tickling!

    Alone

It takes an enormous amount of courage to face down a frightened mob. Well done, Crowe!

    Chapter 2

Silas should surrender now. Between Theo's street smarts, Sawyer's moral courage and Jack's thirst for vindictive retribution. he doesn't stand a chance.

    Buckshot

Elias Sawyer, a by-the-book Pinkerton agent, arrives in the boom town of Silver Creek expecting a simple robbery case. Instead, he finds a barefoot prodigy named Theo, a horse with Opinions, and clues that implicate Sawyer’s own agency. When an ambush and a damning shell casing expose a deeper corruption, Sawyer must choose between obedience and truth. With Theo as his unlikely partner (and maybe more) he dives into a conspiracy that’s bleeding the town dry. But Silver Creek has predators of its own, and Sawyer may be their leverage.

    Chapter 1

A great start. Jack the Wonder Horse looks like he will be fun.
  13. Hunter is initially intrigued by Miguel but gets mixed signals from him. Zach explicitly dismisses Miguel as trouble, but the Colombian 'heartthrob' roars back into the picture with some vulnerable humility. I'm enjoying the ambiguity in the character. I like Juan Camilo and love Max. ¡Qué buen chico!

    Chapter 6

Great chapter! No worries about the cliffhanger 'cause I am confident everything will work out. It would be an interesting wrinkle if Jody can't accommodate Len, and if they have to deal with that.
  15. A sweet character-driven short story about renewing lost love. Worth the time to read this feel-good tale.

    Chapter 1

The Big Misunderstanding that could have been resolved with, you know, NORMAL communication skills is a tired, overused trope in romance tales, but chris191070 cleverly refreshes that and subverts it by placing it ten years before this short story opens. A lovely story of missed opportunity and rekindling the embers of a lost love.
  17. An exciting, fast-paced thriller set in the remote reaches of Quebec. It has all the hallmarks of its genre, a quickly moving plot; clearly delineated good guys vs bad guys whose motives are not unnecessarily complicated; military grade weaponry; and high-tech toys galore.

    Chapter 19

Alex was wrapped in a blanket, his head resting against Brian’s shoulder. Steve was leaning against the railing, the dopiest grin all over his face as he kept his arm linked with Kenny’s. They were a unified front, a constellation of loyalty. And that is what keeps us all going through the next two books!
  19. A very intense chapter, full of drama and impact. Colby's wise insights are a highlight.
  20. This is a beautifully written, emotionally rich narrative that captures grief, aging, loneliness, and the tentative reawakening of connection with extraordinary sensitivity. The voice is grounded, intimate, and deeply human. The pacing is deliberate, in a good way, and the emotional arcs unfold organically, mirroring how real grief works: slowly, quietly, sometimes by surprise. Highly recommended.

    Chapter 1

A beautifully told story with an autumnal tone as Liam is numbed by Kevin's death. Adrien joins the regular cycling group and may trigger a thaw in Liam? Excellent writing.
  22. Ugh! What an cast of reprehensible characters are arrayed against Julian. The two that display even a shred of decency, Dean and Clara, do as much to enable the cruelty of the others than they do to ease Julian's distress.
  23. The lycan's ears pricked at the sound of panicked voices coming from the village. A growl caught in his throat. Something bad was going to happen. He could smell it. Crowe and Barghast have the beginnings of being a formidable team.
  24. Based on his masterful negotiating the tricky waters here and his handling of several prickly personalities, Granger would be a formidable politician should his interests turn in that direction after the navy.

    Chapter 18

Very dramatic and very satisfying! The good guys triumph and the wicked are thwarted.
