This chapter was really very dark and brutal, made all the more shocking by Kayden's own acceptance of the treatment.

There's a lot of charm and appeal in the way you write.

This rant is so cute and adorable I can't help but like it. So I will read more.

The first chapter was heavy in its intensity, well written, but I enjoyed this second chapter more for that reason, more laid back. I felt sympathy for John, but it was hard to like him. This chapter changes that of course as I guess it was intended to. Wylie seems to be more in control of himself or more accepting of himself? So, has John made his whole life one big issue? So this adds up to interesting characters.

John Grant seems like a man having a breakdown. He is destroying himself here. Can redemption heal this? I don't know. Can love heal this. I don't know. He is turning away help. He is thinking suicide. He is disassociated. He is full of self hate. And Gordy is coming home. That is somehow the catalyst. That is also the readers hope.

Susan is going to have her hands full, seems like. A job? Doing what? Guess I will have to move on to chapter eight.

This was a well written chapter and created a good picture of Jenny. She must be of a very strong nature. The possible interactions of your characters in this story leaves me wondering what is to come.

If it is a good story, it is a good story. That can be any genre. Heck lots of stories that need work are worth reading. I have written about love and I have written sex. Realistic or complete fantasy, I can't get enough. Thus I read and write. Oh, my point, I try to put my stamp on it for good or bad.

Excellent story. Very smooth writing had me feeling the intensity of the moment.

I have a fondness for writing silly, escapist stories. So, I wrote this as a counterweight, thinking it couldn't hurt. If I continue this now, it would most likely be jarring in a very different direction or perspective. Maybe I would pick the story back up ten years later, with a phone call in the middle of the night. "Sam, I really need your help." Sorry about being heavy handed. I can be even more so. I think I do it as an inside joke with myself as a writer. I am laughing at my own role per se? And I could just like heavy handed metaphors. Maybe I don't want the reader to think they are in control. That this story is? Off balance. I wasn't thinking about a recent event or a kidnapping. Originally the thought of making a story about a runaway occurred to me, one that died in a dumpster having a fantasy about rescue and being loved and finding happiness and fulfillment in life. But you see, I don't want life to be like that. I don't want that brutal, cruel horror. I want that hand that offers a chance. And finally love is what you make it. And in Rachel's case I suspect it made her a survivor, one with a heart. Any way this is my speculation, I am outside the story now. Thanks for reading and a thought poking review.

What do I aspire to, with all this. These few stories and poems? I guess to express all my doubts and worries and fears. The fullness of my pettiness. I struggle to find strength and honesty in my self and love that just is there always. Thanks for reading and thanks for having your own reasons for writing and reading and living.

In a way Rachel is pouring out her entire being in this short time. In is something we understand, that everyone has experienced. Or at least I hope so.

I think this a story about possibility. Life has not shut a door on Rachel yet and Rachel has found that doors can be opened. However, improbable. How do you hold hope in your trembling hands?
