Flying off to Paris, all of a sudden, is very enticing, can we do that today? JP's remark about spending some time together with Andre before there lives separate seems to more of a truth than expected. I've noticed the story has two driving forces, if that is the right phrase, going on. The story plot and the sex plot. Do you see it that way? Of course they are melded but they are also very different. There is tension between the two and some conflict?

I always enjoyed going to NY. I like the relationship between JP and Billy. So I guess I have to read the next chapter to see where JP is going.

This was marvelous. So many details that ring in my memory. The car talk was great. I guess JP has a Pontiac Grand Prix cause I don't think the GTO was introduced yet? And an Oldsmobile, my aunt had one, she owned her own clothing production company, very rare for a woman back then. The Frank Lloyd Wright Prairie house. Gosh Mark I could talk about this chapter forever lol. I love it.

This is quickly sinking into nightmare and madness. So, why am holding out for... in not revelation then redemption? Another gut turning chapter. Love it.

This is a good read. So much so that all the layers and themes, that can stop you to think, are racing with the urge to get to the next word. I have been thinking of one theme at least prominent to me is, what is a man of character? Is JP a man of character? Is the reader meant to wrestle with this as JP seems to be doing?

You write full throttle. If there are dangerous curves ahead, you don't slow down. It's strange, I don't always agree, but I can't deny that I am in for the ride. A good chapter, excellent writing and I am almost dizzy.

Well written and for me very nostalgic. Civility, that is very evident in the prologue. The sexual encounter... well the hidden side of life, very raw, sex was only acceptable if it was wrapped up nicely in ritual and religion and social etiquette. Fear, of knowing that you are different, considered even criminal. Love, only to be repressed and dreaded discovery. And yet the need to be who you are. All here and more. It hits in the gut.

Looks like Michael is going to learn his human lessons the hard way, despite his magic and his jinni. You have two good characters here and a good story line and lots of fun bits and details. The writing style though is still choppy at times and a little confusing. You know your story I am sure but remember your reader is seeing it for the first time. I like your story and want to read all of it.
