Chapter 7: Milk slices and maps
Kileoli commented on Kileoli's story chapter in Chapter 7: Milk slices and maps
I want to thank you guys too for reading, it motivates me to keep on writing. When I first started I had no intention of getting this far, but then I always wanted to write our story for the girls, I even started making audios ( they were too dark I ended up crying every time I heard it so they don't exist anymore) and a diary in my language, but reallized nobody will read it since I sorta messed up the chance to teach them the language. And I thought I was subtle to divide the tension on both😅 Reality check: 1.it didn't end like that. I really fell asleep, then got up at 1 am and couldn't sleep so I thought I could finish the 5 open chapters I have and ended up writing this. Results: at 5 am I was so tired and still bitchy. 2. Things are kept mild in the story, I was actually very mean and I did hurt R so much he stopped talking to me at some point. I got a hug from him the following day after lecturing me I should focus on my paper and dissertation rather than things I can't change, and now he simply takes away my phone when he catches me reading the news. I got a few other things too which helped a bit but in the end I cannot shut up my brain this time, it's just broken. Fun fact: writing malicious glee makes the most fun because I don't have to think of a plot, or put things in an order that makes things interesting or logical however some parts are really my fantasy ( the double chapter) or a sum of events over a longer time ( parameter study). I decided to work from home today because I don't trust myself driving at the moment and it takes forever to use public transportation ( ref.the snow chapter), I either finish the chapters from designing the escape or I really have to evaluate my experiments. Sorry, im totally in rambling mode. Might be because I'm avoiding people in the real world. Now I shut up -

Chapter 7 - The Letter
Kileoli commented on ChromedOutCortex's story chapter in Chapter 7 - The Letter
Gray hair is also a fixable problem. For me is the other way round. I can pretty much recognize even people that I only met as kids, but I don't remember names, just faces and from where I might know them. But if it's the case unless Andrew hasn't recognized Marcus, it would be very mean. But then wasn't it that the bullies themselves were the most coward people ( probably with a crush on the person)? -
Oh no. Run Lydia run! No more sausages please!

That was a nice ending and a clever solution from Ollie. But what happened to the third phase? The KISS!?

A game of poker to save a land, that was really brave and stupid. I know poker is not for me. Whenever I play it, I end up naked😅 I guess asking for weddings is too much considering the time, but do we get some explosions at least? Or maybe Henry can build some carriage accompanied by Jack and all the boys starting their first pride

Oh no. Orel can make you tea, too. Get well soon, Maverickville needs you.

Good morning, You were late with posting and I was thinking to find a way to wake you up. Good that you managed yourself. 😁

Is Gerald Jack's friend or your duck's lunch? Just asking to make myself ready for the final phase. Are there gay isopods too?

I saw a label maker at work yesterday and I thought I wanted to print labels. Since I discovered the danger and Co pictogram labels at work and put them on every single bottle containing my black slurry, I am sure I have earned myself a label maker. I hope Aiden doesn't start labeling Orel's Isopods.

That's the interesting part of life, with its layers, motivations and invisible backgrounds. -
You have a good point with being too young and too old. The other aspect is how people die, expected or unexpected. I was 14 when my father died, I still have very strange memories of our time together although I have forgotten most of the things, his death I haven't forgotten, I still remember how much I hated myself to keep a distant from him during his last week. Maybe it was my fear that he could see through me and see I was different, but then I think he probably had accepted me as who I was and who I loved. My sister was 10 and later she said she didn't remember him really. When my grandma died, I simply accepted it as part of life, but then I was 28. Over the years many people have died but it didn't affect me like my father's. Probably because they were not that close or I have learned not to feel. My sister-in-law thinks I'm annoyingly cold, but I don't know. Leonid's life will keep on going darker, so I guess I let his story on a hold until I feel better myself to be able to handle his emotions.

Ok, I was totally blind. I thought I sorta knew an Axl but I totally forgot the pizza boy. I feel bad for him when Orel tries to write a love story for him and Oliver

This was so sweet and so different from the massacre in Deed. I have find a Semi-parallel world to work and read and these two are so worth it.

Ok, this was a great twist. Teenagers can be mean, but not recognizing at all after like 4-5 years is a bit weird. Still he looked different and Marcus probably too. So let's wait for the confrontation -
That was very brave of Kieran or things could have gone really bad. I'm not sure if two chapters are enough to hunt the devil, get several marriages and get a railroad....I forgot the coming army

Chapter 7: Milk slices and maps

Since Liam and I are feeling totally down, this chapter is too long and humorless. Thinking about it, it helped me a bit writing this chapter, but I guess Liam had it better than me with letting things out of his system and not bottling up anymore and letting Rick hold him. I probably should do the same. -
Saturday afternoon, the dishwasher was running, the steady churn of water folding in and out of itself behind the cabinet doors, and the girls were arguing across the kitchen table about whether dinosaurs could swim. Hermine insisted they could because “some of them had long necks and probably floated,” while Tiffany, indignant, claimed that anything with teeth like that would sink out of principle. Their voices overlapped, rising and falling in quick, overlapping bursts that made the kitch

At least the father tried and that's probably why Leonid feels guilty for not trying

Ok. Point taken. I never disagreed. Then I move a bit further into the past and set up my tent in year 1126.

I'm not saying they were anything nice. Generally when it comes to fanatics, the brutality is high. However, coming originally from a land under war and raised up at a place that you should keep your mouth shut about who you love to survive or get hunted. I would have gone for a time that the weapons weren't as destructive as nowadays. Believe it or not, it's not fun checking the news everyday and wondering if the people you loved or knew are still alive or shot. Still just look at numbers im guestimating the devastation destruction ratio is comparable between 2026 and the Fenians time.
-
Wow. That's so much stuff to read, Im gonna look for a parallel world to read and work.
-
Grady has almost pulled the trigger and bamm end of chapter?! I stay awake till you post the next chapter 🫠 Statistically when we compare the population of the world at that time and speed of a machine gun at killing people, we might roughly arrive at the destruction level of a small atom bomb. The difference is at that time they just had to burry the dead, but we will enjoy raise of zombies and mutants. I like the comfort of our time, but if it came to a war, I would have gone for the Hardings version.

It was awesome being in Jack's head. He is awesome and is a unicorn of honor. You did a great scene with stealing the maxim and using their weapon against them, still they are stronger, the capital is too far and who knows who got the telegram. So unreliable was the communication those days!
