  1. Yep. Not only is the author sorting very versatile by various means but look at your basic search options. Author Group, Category, Genre, Tags, Status, Rating, and Length. AND you can arrange the results by title, publish date, or last update. AND you can choose to include peer review (usually newer) authors or not. GA Stories is fully customizable for readers when it comes to finding the type of stories that you want to read. The basic author search is one small facet of the options for readers. I know when I find new story sites I rarely search or choose what I want to read over an author's name. I go for story type, or title at least, because that gives me some idea of the content I'm looking at. I would think most people are similar. We get the gripe, and some agree, but it's just the way the system reads names. We just want to point out that there are many many other ways around that one part of GA Stories.
  2. Hi Adam. The site is great for motivation from readers and developing a beta/editing team if you don't already have one. Welcome to GA and good luck with your story.

    Chapter 10

not ideal indeed... lol Your description of migraines is quiet realistic... one would do anything to make the pain go away. Ellis' reaction was totally understandable. So you ask us to speculate again? Okay... maybe Ellis' migraines have something to do with his heritage? Didn't you mention he might have Carthera blood in him? This would also explain why his brother has a Carthera mate too. Thanks for the good chapter. I liked Dav's jealous side and that it wasn't a full reconciliation (yet ) No like the c Well I get migraines myself. Not the type that I wrote in for Ellis, but the pain... yeah, that I'm unfortunatly intimately familiar with. I love your speculation. If it's right or not???? hmm... have to wait and see, no spoilers! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing, Aditus, I'm glad you continue to enjoy the story!

    Chapter 10

The next chapter might answer your question... maybe. We'll see how nice I am as an author. I'm not usually I think in real life if someone makes a monumental mistake, a hand job and a bunch of emotion wouldn't quite fix it so I can't let it happen for them either. Relationships are hard work, especially when one person tries to kill the other one, LOL! Thanks for reading Elezbed!!
  5. That sounds lovely Dee! Welcome to GA! I hope you enjoy the site and GA Stories. The system is custom built to help readers find exactly what they like to read and authors to get their work to their fans. Feel free to drop me a line if you ever have any questions!

    Chapter 10

Thank you. You haven't been subjected to one of the public discussions Lugh and I have had about fantasy having rules and having to be realistic. If you don't base some part of your story into something the reader can believe they don't really relate to the story well. I love fantasy and half animals/half people type characters tickles that part of me but I like to make sure they hold true to the animals people know as well. I know that love at first site/mate bonding isn't realistic but I love using it to easily explain their connection. However, then I have to make sure I really make their lives believable with the ups and downs all people face. This story line is one I have absolutely fallen in love with and I have no idea where it will end up or with how many tales, but as long as the ideas keep coming, I'll keep writing! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

    The Pearl

Yes, a few of these could definitely be expanded and this is one of them. The story, Married to the Enemy, was a larger short story from one of the prompts that I posted that I'd like to possibly continue at some point as well. The biggest thing about the prompts is that there isn't any pressure to do that, to make up a whole story, but I do get to be creative and try new things. I can always go back, right? Thanks so much for reading Labrador, I am glad you liked the story!

    Chapter 10

Hi Rik Gupta! Welcome to GA and thanks for tracking me down. That is a huge compliment! For my Carthera stories I really do try to hold true to the animal characteristics that their clan would have based on snakes, jaguars, falcons, ect... while also adding in some fantasy of course. I don't think I could stretch snakes into hermaphrodites or anything though because it's just not realistic. Funny with a fantasy story, I know, but I do try to keep it to some limits. I do a lot of research on each animal before I start a new story. I'm very glad you're enjoying the series, and this story especially. Thanks so much for reading, and reviewing, and your suggestion. I hope you continue to enjoy the story!
  9. Well, Hosted and Promising Authors still have the Author tab listing independent of GA Stories as well, so they're not exactly lost in the mix everywhere. That's where I found the people I read first on the site when I joined.

    Chapter 10

Life isn't that easy and I definitely wouldn't be that nice to my characters, lol! The migraines... well, I don't want to do any spoilers but I will tell you that you'll find more out about them in the next chapter. Thanks for the review!!

    Chapter 10

I sat in my car and stared at Dav. My heart was pounding and the pain in my head spiked from the rush of adrenaline. The last week had been a dream come true at first, and then my worst nightmare. I didn't want to face the man who had broken my heart. I looked at my keys, seriously considering just starting the car back up and driving away. There was tapping at my window before I could do it though. I jerked a bit, startled. "Ellis? Why are you just sitting in your car? Are you okay?" Davis tr

"Oh my god, I think I killed him." "Pull over." Ted shoved his door open as soon as the car came to a stop by the curb. He ran over to the dog in the middle of the road. The poor animal was whining and trying to get up. "Oh, thank god, he's not dead." Ted glanced up at his date who was standing a few feet away staring at the poor dog. "She actually. And no, she's not dead but she might be if we don't hurry. Do you have a blanket in your car? "Uh yeah." Bryce just stood there. Ted's eyes wi

    Early Warning

I commented in the topic too but I really liked this. A government conspiracy story... from you? How unexpected! LOL.
  16. Check out the writing prompts! These are great and can really inspire you to get creative. Often I'll take 30 minutes to do a prompt and then take another look at my story or chapter I'm working on and the juices are flowing so I can get past whatever is blocking me. Then I often post my writing prompt stories in a collection here in GA Stories. I called mine Dribbles and they can be anywhere from a couple of hundred words to 1.5k or so. Anyway, you can find the prompts here.
  17. LOL, Old man! Actually I think it's silly too but I'd seen him before since he was on iCarly and my girl likes that show. It is pretty talented even if I think it's silly.
  18. Welcome again Harmonic Dreamer! Good job on getting your Author status and good luck posting your story. Hi Mac Marcos. I'm glad to see you leave your lurker status and join in. I hope you get up the courage to share your story soon, new authors are always more than welcome!

    Holidays - meh

Awww, hun. If you work retail, it's a sad sad world this time of year. I once worked a toy store during Black Friday and let me tell you, never again. The RARE times I shop in the holiday season I try to make the job of the clerk as easy as I can. It's not their fault people are nucking futs! I'm sorry you're losing a part of your holiday time with your family and I really hope that this little down mood improves soon. There are a myriad small things I enjoy about the season and the consumerism isn't one of them. It's hard with your job but maybe try something that will help you get in the spirit like calling a senior center nearby and asking the activity director if you can come in one morning or afternoon and deliver a few holiday cards to people who are often without the means to get out and enjoy the season. Or, try a children's ward and get a few little coloring crayon packets and take cards they can color for their families while they lay in bed. Just a few things I've done over the years that really help me remember that this time of year should be about bringing cheer to others because then you really get it back.
  20. He's good too Kiltie, though I have to say I like the voice David Wenham used to narrate 300 the best.
  21. C'mon the man has a voice to swoon over!
  22. Only if Sean Connery is Santa Clause. Can you imagine his ho ho ho?

    Story

LOL, John! Sorry for the frustration! All too often I just 'want to know' and the author doesn't share the info I'm craving, so I've experienced that feeling. With this story, that was deliberate (sorry again ). You can read more of my thoughts as to how I wrote this in the forum, if you're interested. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

    Chapter 4

Well Dav and Ellis are... special. Plus there are things coming that might answer this feeling you're having about them bonding too soon so keep reading! I always try to give the characters a real feel, give them positive and negative attributes and personalities. I love romance stories and ones where I really feel for the characters are always my favorite. Thank you so much for the reviews, I love that you are loving the story! Keep reading!
