Drew is not so much on a learning curve, as a learning roller coaster... Aria is a mystery, an enigma, innocent and all knowing, all at once. his "mates" are all as genuine as a three dollar note... with the possible exception of the manager... what a story!! Great read thanks...

No idea how I missed this posting! Great story, happh but sad ending. The address gives us hope that they may find each other. Thanks.

Well that was bloody emotional! Declan deserves a whole heap of praise the way he handled that. Even down to keeping the blaces "for his pencils"; prohibition never works, but what declan did may be the begining of something wonderful. Great read. Thanks.

Well he just failed coffee prep in my view! Sounds like a strong instant coffee... not my cup of tea at all! 😁 I think there is some miscommunication around the "jock" thing. I am not sure Sherlock is as anti-jock as Watson ex 007 says. Perhaps there is just a bit of defensiveness clouding Watson's thinking? I am enjoying this. I like the concept and you write well... looking forward to the resolution!

drunken father as bigot. it would seem his father can keep his demons under control until drink allows them freedom. hopefully it won't upset their plans... as for eric; while the visits have brought him out of his shell somewhat, I am concerned that he is becoming dependant on Andy. looking forward to what comes next....

I agree - several are ending/about to end or end is in sight.... bloody authors; no compassion for their readers!!

brave new world.... very unpredictable too - not the most comfortable space for a body guard. He is in for one amazing ride! great read!

Sure did! Life is a little hellish at the moment,so this was a perfect escape! Thanks!

Like most returned service men, Brad is going to need help. Hope CJ/Owen get him to it quickly. Weirdly in my experience friends are better at organising this than family. Great wedding reception. The scene in the toilets was just so in tune with the story.😀

Beautiful wedding. The pillow was wonderful note. The Obamas understated presence was well done too. Great read....

"Irish car bombs"? I may be being way too PC, but if renamed "Palestinian car bombs" would it offend anyone? NB loved the Tesla, never understood the Jeep: noisy, rough, and expensive. The Tesla is pure class!😆

CJs politics! He really needs to think a little more. The slogans around helmets; "who rides decides", until he gets bashed up in an accident and expects some to pay for his fixing, dragging a team of doctors from people with injuries that are not self inflicted. I can imagine that by 40 he'll be miserable republican (as opposed to a Trump cultist) bitchin' about "in my day". Owen's politics may not be to CJs liking, but at least his seem to have a rational basis. Characters so well writen they get me riled up mean you must be doing something right! Thanks for the read....

Over The Rainbow • Part I
Canuk commented on Carlos Hazday's story chapter in Over The Rainbow • Part I
Great start to the next journey. I can't believe that there hasnt been another trip to Australia. I know when Troo Lurve first dragged me from Australia to live in Canada, if I hadn't made trips back twice a year, my mum would have disowned me. (Mind you the one trip back I took without my beloved, I was in so much trouble ....) So when does Owen get to see his family again? ....and the next chapter opens with them landing in Australia.... great minds....? Fools never.....? 《Sigh》 -
CJ says too much to random people who aproa h him. I have been involved with too many politicians to know this is exactly how disaster hapens. He neds to learn the art of polite nothings to strangers. The photographer was a worry.... as a political player the media is your best friend and worst nightmare rolled into one. Great read.. enjoying it with the tinge of sadness knowing what happens in November.

I am so much on Owen/Ozzie's side on this. Yes I have shot rifles and hand guns, but ultimately the culture in the US needs to return to a level of sanity and this entire "2nd amendment " cult needs to be understood for what it was written as. And that has no role in the 21st century.

"The first scream". ..lol!

I am posting this almost 18 months avter the chapter was put up, but I just had to comment on Ossie/Owens response to CJs proposal "about time you wanker" has got to be the best response to a proposal I have heard! As an Australian /Canadian it is about as culturally appropriate as I can imagine.!

I am just so glad that 21+9=30😅😅😅😅!

Really getting a sense of their individuality. Great writing, thanks

He's 16 now. Very few courts would overide a mothers wishes for her 16 year old son, especially when those wishes co-incide with her sons. Yes the grandparents could cause trouble, but provided adam and artie get a half decent lawyer there shouldnt be a problem.

Chapter 7 - An Abrupt Departure
Canuk commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 7 - An Abrupt Departure
Well, I amend my comment from the last chapter; these are two of the most naive bastards unhung! As for Jesse's departure, yep long distance is hard - my partner and I did it for 4 years across the Pacific, you end up with no money and one hell of a frequent flyer status- but it is doable. Interesting that Jesse decided it wasnt doable without discussion. Says a lot. As far a Colin/Stan and Charlie/Charles, all four of them need to be locked in a room and be made to talk until they blody well work it out, otherwise they will both be incarcerated for utter stupidity! Have a great time reading this...😆- 11 comments

Chapter 6 - Blinded on Vacation
Canuk commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 6 - Blinded on Vacation
Well, just binge read the first six chapters in a morning... great story, great read, excellently written. Having read the comments, I seem to be the only reader to think that Colin is the idiot here. If Charles/Charlie had been BFF then Colin treating him like he is, would be fine. But new friend/ new lover treated almost the same apart from sex? Jesse's confusion over Charles is perfectly understandable, but Colin needs to be the one to straighten him out (in all senses except 1😉). Colin seems blind more than just physically, but emotionally as well, or is he just super naive? Also while great for the story plotline, not sure why when he realised he'd forgotten his contacts/glasses at Bend he didn't got back for them; a weeks misery vs a ~4 hour drive? So looking forward to how this is resolved; I can imagine at least three or four different endings... Thanks. -
Great ending. Very sad that there is no more. I have sincere doubts about "other stories not worth publishing": i live with an artist who has many paintings "not worth showing" which is just plain wrong, so i suggest the author/artist is not the best judge of their work... Btw Robert Gott has a brother Ted? If so we knew him well in Melbourne when my partner worked at NGV! Great stories, wonderfully written, haven't quite knocked the optimism out of me.😆 All the very best...

If Adam gets any better, I am moving to san francisco ( i am not allowed to call it sfo any more... I was told!😆) my husband of 18.7 years may be disappointed, but if I tell him I have found perfection, I am sure he'll understand! Great story, so well told. Envious and grateful!

You REALLY want me to answer that? 😙
