    Anticipation

Yes, true story. Hehe, boldness indeed. Maybe that was overkill for a first date, even though we had been chatting quite a bit prior to the date. Anyway, we dated for some time. In the end it didn't work out, but I don't regret the poem.

**sighs** So beautiful. what did he have to say??? He has mesmerizing blue eyes Well, I only gave him a paper with the address where the poem was posted. I didn't want him to have to read it right there and then.I think he liked it.
  3. Bah... my ride easily beats all your rides : 4 engines, 5,600 horse power, top speed of 100mph , all electric and no pollution! And it comes in a fancy blue and white design!

    Anticipation

Anticipation A date for the present - A present for my date Hours, minutes, seconds, slowly are ticking by, Yet, too many remain until I see your smile, Until we truly meet, my blue-eyed Gemini. Over the past few days I've been so distracted, Forgetting where and when I am supposed to be, Looking in the mirror, and seeing but a grin Or an impatient sigh where sadness used to be. Today, you will take me to a place of history We will walk the gardens, take some
  6. Happy belated birthday, Lugh!
  7. So... April Fool's Day joke or not??

    Springtime, at last !

Always a pleasure to read your positive thoughts, Bob
  10. I know, I was ashamed for desecrating such a beautiful song, but it was too good to pass.
  11. Well, my advice is that by the time you go through the training required for the skills above, computer game technology will probably have evolved a lot and rendered these skills obsolete. So don't worry about the particular software above. Research good IT graphics schools in your area and keep focused on your objectives. As far as I know, programming involves a lot of logic (so excellent maths grades are a must) as well as a creative mind. Hope this helps
  12. Westie, thanks for the research that you're doing to make things easier for the rest of us. The unknown element for me so far is whether I'll drive to London, as part of a longer stay in the UK, or whether I'll take the train over. I have my own list of restaurants in the Soho area but they are mostly Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian, etc., which might not suit everyone's tastes.
  13. You may say that I'm a trimmer But I'm not the only one

    Chapter 1

Very nice play on the sensations brought by colours around us, albeit in that "grey" unappealing context. The only other sense that you could have used in there would be taste. When you're hit by depression, everything tastes stale and insipid. I particularly love this line: Grey goes unnoticed and lets its sibling colours talk instead whilst it sits quietly, listening, not speaking.

You have a knack for writing stories that immediately catch the reader's attention, whether it be romance or mystery. There are quite a number of elements here, about both characters, that are bound to reappear later: the dream, the malevolence inside, pretty much everything about Kurt/Kevin. Unlike Maria, I don't like shameless flirters. At the very least, I would find it a turn off if someone said to me “In case you’re wondering, yes, I’m gay.” and then adding the bit about being single. So Toby is not immediately sympathetic to me. This is interesting, a mystery in itself since I've loved all your main characters so far Looking forward to how you're going to make me like Toby (which I'm pretty confident you will)
  16. I studied and lived abroad for 5 years. Granted it was in a neighbouring country, so it allowed for regular trips back home several times a year. It was a very positive and enjoyable experience, mostly. We are lucky in Europe because we don't need extra paperwork to be able to work and live in another EU country. However, I'll have to admit that it proved very difficult financially. This was before Internet was very common, so getting a precise idea of costs of living and transport, in particular, was impossible. Early optimism quickly vanished. Getting this information is a lot easier today. I say, a good preparation will go a long way in helping you settle in another country. Good luck with it, it's a small adventure in itself.

    Ouch

No need to sound so amazed. I don't have an exceptional memory. I just remember what we talked about last time we chatted even though it was 5 months ago. Of course I paid attention to what you like, to what your interests are, to what we have in common, to what is dear to both of us. That's what I do when I have a crush on someone. I'm stupid like that. You obviously don't feel the same. I guess I should have known when you said I wasn't really your type but that there was no harm in having a coffee together. I was the only one who saw something where there was nothing. Of course I didn't tell you about the crush. How weird would that have been? I have been waiting for months for this annual fair, knowing we had talked about it, knowing that would provide the opportunity for another meeting with you. I didn't say a date, just a meeting, nothing fancy. So you don't have time to accompany me to this amazing fair, for which I've already got tickets, to see stuff you enjoy and are supposedly an expert on. Yet you ended your message with "See you another time". Sweet, sweet torture... Above is the message I'm NOT sending him. The lame message I'll send will be along the lines of: "Well, really too bad you have to work this week-end. Maybe another time, then." I am not renewing my subscription to that site; that way his handsome face will stop taunting me every time I log on. *sigh*
  18. I seriously think you should turn this into a short story (by this I mean longer than what you gave us above). The addiction to crack vs. love is obviously a main theme, but you can also play on the addict's past (still present?) kindness, which shows through his comment "This would look good on you." You know the drill: write the story, get an editor, post it

    I’m proud !

Je ne connais guère, maître, votre plumage, Mais pour avoir ouï, votre plaisant ramage, Je suis d'avis qu'il vaut ici bien des hommages, Et suis ravi d'être l'ami d'un homme sage. .... feeling poetic You are an inspiration.
  20. Your room seems awfully small for those moves, Ag. Do you have to push the furniture around? And Chuck Norris!! He may have had great moves too in his time, but now he's just a bigoted anti-gay [censored]
  21. Thanks for your replies @ Nephy: a girlfriend would be the easy option, but I'm not sure it would be one that would make me happy in the long run. I don't reject the idea, though. It might yet happen. @Secret: I'm not sad that it happened. It's more that I'm frustrated with myself because of the way it happened. @Marzipan: I kind of feel that I rushed into this particular relationship, as if I had to prove something to myself. I really don't. And as you say, it's ok to be without a relationship for a while. However, I have been by myself for a few years now, and the absence of companionship is tough. @Bob: thanks for your wise words, once again I don't see being bi as a problem. I will let Fate and Fortune guide me. I know that there is only so much we can plan in this life. What I do plan on finding though, is the right person to understand me and to build a loving, exclusive relationship.
  22. Why not .... Not sure you'd want to go back across the pond afterwards though Seriously, there are some nice universities in the UK. Just get a transfer, piece of cake!
  23. I'll confess to eating quite a bit of (very nice) cheese, sometimes accompanied by wine. And yes, cheese is a little fattening but we counterbalance that by wanking walking a lot.
  24. Happy birthday, Westie!! I'm glad you had a great day PS. The message I wrote this morning, which should have been up there, got eaten by the evil bugs when the server was down.
  25. Drunk parties! You? I've done a few picnics on Pont des Arts myself And thanks
