    I answered Yes, and I'd say "Yes, and that's a good thing". Of course, you'd have to define "socialism" a lot more precisely. In the meantime, you can go with whatever label you want. The mere fact that you ask the question make it sound like it may be frowned upon. It may be in Texas, and in the US generally. It doesn't raise an eyebrow over here. In my country, millions of people proudly define themselves as socialists. We had several Socialist governments since I was born, and the Earth didn't stop turning. We didn't turn into a Soviet regime despite the CIA's fears. I haven't seen the Michael Moore movies, though I read one of his books. I'm strongly tempted to side with him on many issues, but I try not to forget that he uses "shock therapy".

    Wow, how come I missed this blog entry?? Anyway, very glad to hear that there's hope regarding the medical issues. It will sure feel better to be out and about more. And tidying your room obviously will keep you healthy. You can also combine other resolutions: focusing your attention on potatoes rather than on on iPad will help your wallet. On the other hand, I've never tried sending an e-mail with a potatoe, but then again, I'm not in IT. I hope that by the end of 2011 you can look back proudly and tell us that you've finished writing an entire story and read a whole Czech book, rather than finished writing a whole cheque book and started reading a story. /silly

    I just cooked some rabbit liver for dinner (a touch of olive oil, a touch of balsamic vinegar, just don't overcook it!), with a green salad as side order. Simply yum

    Some cults do walk a fine line between what the 1st Amendment allows and crime. Over here, legislation is a tad harsher than in the US about cults. See this law and the American reaction to it.
