Hey there, friends So we're all aware of the stereotype there is about gays having amazing fashion sense, yes? Well, my friend was talking to me today and revealed that he loves wearing crocs. I was quite shocked about this, but then he went on to say that he thinks they genuinely look good. This revelation has shaken me to my very core. Thank God I was there to set him straight (so to speak). However, I was wondering if any of you gents and ladies have made any atrocious fashion mistakes in the past? May it be some horrible attire or a hairstyle that just wasn't as nifty as you thought at the time. Pictorial evidence would be a sexy addition! haha At the same time, we've all learnt from this former disasters, right? Well, I'm hoping that's the case haha So are there any fashion advice or beauty/lifestyle tips that you swear by? So I've come up with a few that I think are quite ok; Drinking at least 8 glasses of water every day (although I wouldn't drink much more than that). It does wonders for your skin. I usually take about 1-2 zinc capsules of zinc every day as well. My skin is pretty decent with all that. I'm quite prone to headaches and water is amazing for stopping all that bollox from occuring. You weight watchers could also benefit from water, but I'm sure that you already knew that it was pretty vital in weight loss. Watches. Ok, so maybe you fail at everything else, but having a decent watch makes up for all of your other disasters. A shiny watch adds a touch of taste to one's 'look', don't you think? I usually wear Fossil. But apparently gold watches are really in at the minute. BLACK SOCKS. No, you don't look quirky in your pink socks, you just look like a twat XD Hair gel. Keep it to a minimum. It's a clinically proven by my team of expert scientists that men and women love touchable hair. Trust me, we're all vain in some way or another, but your overly styled hair is making it painfully obvious. It's a turn off. Short? Don't wear horizontal stripes. You're making us want to watch Lord of the Rings. Don't go around showing your boxers/knickers/ass etc. XDD Yes, it's kind of sexy, but have a little class! Match your belt and shoes. Don't mix the colour of your leathers. Make sure that your clothes fit. Tight isn't always sexy. Sometimes it can just look like a desperate attempt to look younger XD Fragrance! Please stop wearing so much, guys. I find myself walking into gay bars and being hit by a multitude of scents. And sperm. Obviously. But hey, there is no need to wear so much! Body odour has turned into some sort of competition. The guy that's obviously wearing the most aftershave is only going to be impressing idiots and virgins. You only need a hint of the good stuff. So one or two sprays, ja? Neck preferably. SHAVE. Ok, yes, I personally like a guy with a bit of facial hair. In reality it's all wrong. Only the French can pull off facial hair. Sadly, the rest of us need a shave. Speaking of hair, don't show your chest hair. Yes, I will find you extremely sexy. Most guys don't like it for some odd reason. Wear an undershirt with your v-necks, hairy men! To those of us sexy enough to wear spectacles; update them at least once every couple of years. If you don't need to wear glasses, then don't. The logic is there. You're just making my blood boil.I WILL HURT YOU. Socks and sandals don't mix. Yes, I'm talking to you, my croc wearing amigo. Good manners impress. Don't go overboard as people will think of you as a push over. But still, the small things count. And lastly, yes, I'll admit that I'm hardly an expert when it comes to fashion. I know, you are shocked. So I advise using websites like 'lookbook'. Fashion students are always posting their hip outfits. It's worth a look over just to see what's on trend and whatnot. Annnnnd I hope that was helpful to at least one person. Now, start dishing out your own advice

Ok, yes, you're pretty looking, Lacey. But get some sleep, man! XD And um what? No need to make excuses, Supriya. You're gorgeous.

Boy Toys: How Old Should They Be?
Menorain replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
I personally don't really care about age, as long as the guy is semi decent looking and either funny or intelligent. I'd hope that by the time I'd 60 I'd have a life long partner thing going on. Buuuuuut I'd probably go after someone a tad younger if I was that old. It's hard to say until you're in that position though. -
Agh! Ranae! You're only 14. You can't be commenting in this thread. Agh! Go on. Out with you, girl. *gets out mop and cleans up thread*

It worries me that you've gone straight to the picture thread before having even posted five times. O.O

To be honest, I'm a bit of an open book. The only difference that I can think of is that I'm maybe a bit more hesitant in stating my opinion when I'm online.

Good taste! Also, Benji, Bob Dylan is lush

To me, gay marriage is about equal rights. It annoys me when those against gay marriage start talking crap about how it's unnatural. I mean, marriage isn't a green light to procreate, is it? I always thought that marriage was perceived as the ultimate expression of love. Why wouldn't a committed gay couple wanna get married? These 'civil unions', while a step in the right direction, aren't what we're looking for. All the same rights as marriage, but it's not called marriage? Then why not call it marriage? Because it's different from marriage. These different terms and laws that are specific to gay couples only reinforce the view that we are different and less than the straight citizen. Something else I was thinking about was that I feel like the world views straight couples as more important than gay couples. Know what I mean? It's like the opportunity of gay marriage immediately gives the relationship that stamp of verification of 'yeah, we've made this commitment and we're going to spend the rest of our lives together'. Of course there is also the issue of gay couples having all the same legal rights as straight couples, which is probably the most important thing about the gay marriage struggle. Either way, the judge's ruling of pop 8 as unconstitutional is certainly a step forward in the fight for equality.

JESUS! What the hell had your parents so worked up at the same time, huh? I mean- HAPPY BIRTHDAY! x

Well, I do looooove Goldfrapp! And Sigur Ros too, of course. I either know or used to be really into everything you listed, but I've either outgrown the music or have died inside.

Apologies, but the PS3 is obviously better! Yes, the PS3 is obviously more expensive, but it is so worth the extra money. Let's quickly compare the graphics: Final Fantasy XIII Lost Something? Shooter game/whatever. A racing game! XD As you can see there is a difference in graphics. The XBox has some blurry/ultra shadow thing going on, while the PS3 is much more crisp and sexy. Then, there is so much other crap to consider. Like, the PS3 doesn't charge for online gaming, the Xbox does. I mean, the XBox is an investment and will cost you more in the long run. Another point is the PS3's connectivity with the PSP. Why, just the other day I was downloading some really old and amazing playstation games (FFVII & FFVIII). I mean, the XBox just doesn't have the same legacy. There's a wider variety of games on the PS3, while the XBox is famous for it's first hand shooters. Then the PS3 can also play blue ray dvds. The XBox? Not so much. They're still living it up with dvds. Also, the XBox seems to have more than it's fair share of problems. If it's no crashing and dying, then the network is offline for updates. I can't speak for other people, but my PS3 has never crashed and there's never been a problem with the network. Furthermore, most importantly, the PS3 has a freshness about it. There's more to be explored. It's full capabilities haven't been realised. Xbox, on the other hand, is a bit of a dead horse IMO (the correct opinion *cough*). To conclude, Microsoft are evil. Sony, not so much. Go PS3! RAH-RAH!

Y R U being such a doucheface right now?!?!

Ahahaha your friend is hilarious. I'd be afraid of someone saving it! I'm sure the job situation will sort itself out. You just got to keep going to interviews and putting yourself out there. Crap like that always works itself out. -
I don't really have any of the major fetishes. Bit of an exhibitionist. I've tried my hand at most of the things on the list.

EXCUSE ME, BLEU. Sebastien Tellier is amaaaaaaazing. Ok, you do have way better musicians. There's just something about him. I think I'm drawn by his beard. Matthieu Chedid is ok. I used to listen to some of his stuff, but then I went off it. Not sure why. Sean Lennon is so good though, and I am so thankful that you showed me that video of the two of them haha Can't believe I didn't know about this... I love Charlotte Gainsbourg, Edith Piaf and then your first lady. I'm not sure if it's popular to like your first lady's music, but I think she's pretty decent. SO SORRY, SOUP. I've never heard of Spencer Krug. Gonna have to check that bad boi out. OWEN PALLET. I love Final Fantasy (I really wanna play the games now...). He is sooooo good. It's just like, too amazing. Gosh. I can't believe I forgot about that amazing guy. Patrick Wolfe! Again, a really lovely artist. So sorry to hear about him being beat up because he was kissing his boyfriend at a concert. Atrocious stuff. Goodness gracious. That Efrim Menuck is an interesting character. I do like the song you linked to, but it's very strange. I have a feeling I'm about to become a massive fan haha I've never heard of Annie Clark. Bat for Lashes though! WOW. Sexy album. Siren is so good. I don't know the other two as well. Have a feeling I'll be doing some research. I used to like Sam Cooke too. Portishead and Massive Attack are amazing bands! You'd really like Zero 7 and Telepopmusik. They're pretty downtempo too. Now, your place or mine? *goes off to learn who the hell Yanni is* EDIT: Been listening to this song all day. Had to share.

SIGH. I really would like to explain to you all that I love Lada Gaga too (I'm on a site for gay authors for christ sakes haha), but I still doubt you'd get what I was trying to say by the end of it. It's like, I already know Lady Gaga XD I was sort of hoping for something a bit original. But whatever. I may become a back street fortune teller. Also, Owl City? I've heard one or two songs by him, but I've been a bit apprehensive about getting to know more. Mainly because I thought he was gonna become a one hit wonder and then disappear. I'm starting to hear more and more about him nowadays. So I may go have a look see. By the way, Soup, would you be totally opposed to the idea of us sleeping together? XD Looking forward to your next post.

I feel sorry for the show nowadays. It's like beating a dead horse.
-
Fan of Bowie? Maybe you're more of a Bob Dylan type? With respect, I'd like to point out that my including the term 'musician' immediately rules out you replying with Lady Gaga or Beyonc

I'm not really too sure what to make of this, but here goes nothing. Genre: Informal Female = 1529 Male = 2164 Difference = 635; 58.59% Verdict: Weak MALE (Weak emphasis could indicate European). Genre: Formal Female = 1018 Male = 1719 Difference = 701; 62.8% Verdict: MALE

Gosh! We've got some good looking people on the forums, huh?. Anyway, yeah, my good hair day kind of died, huh? I swear it was great this morning! XD My poor camera on my mac is pretty atrocious in the quality department. Causing my face to look like that. That's the excuse I'm going with anyway haha sigh.

Yeah, I have to book flights from Ireland to England all the time and they cost an arm and a leg (as that is now the currency over here) if you don't book in advance. Still, August is over a year away... I'm not sure that you can even books flights that early haha The only time that is tricky for me is late May and early June. I got exams around that time, guys. I gots to learn stuff for teh exams or else I'll never be able to buy myself lots of crap that I don't actually need. Also, a casual meet before the MAIN EVENT sounds pretty cool to me. I'm not the type that needs an icebreaker, but I suppose it's a different situation when you've met the folks online. I hope none of you are rapists or have ear hair. Like, I'm open minded, but that'd put me off a bit. O.o Also, Anyta, you best get your ass there. I'm hardly an ancient member myself.
